Couldn't ask for a better experience. I believe the mover's team lead said his name was Marshall but I could be mistaken. Either way they all did a great job, were prompt, safe, and did everything for me to make sure the move went smoothly yesterday morning despite the rainy conditions. The whole thing wound up costing less than the estimate, which was a big plus. Great attitudes. Everyone was using correct points of contact and strategizing well to secure everything efficiently on the truck. Would hire again in a minute.

We were scheduled for a move date of 6/27/18. On 6/25, Steel City Movers called us and cancelled, saying they didn't have the manpower to fulfill the job. Two days before our scheduled move, during the busiest move week of the year, they backed out on us, leaving us stranded. Having been left high and dry, we immediately began looking to hire another moving company two days before our scheduled closing. The other companies asked, "Who was that?!" I told them Steel City Movers, to which one replied, "Yes, they're known for that, leaving the homeowner exposed to breach of contract when they're unable to close on their home in time." BUYER BEWARE! And if there were a way to rate with zero stars, I would have done so, because clearly they did not perform the service they agreed to.

I was combining two different apartments into one house on the opposite side of town. Not only did they come in under estimate, they also helped me set up the furniture in my house. Thank you!

Great experience with SCM unloading a uhaul I drove from Massachusetts. Tony and his team were extremely efficient, even hesitating to take a break when it was lightening outside. They finished the job under the estimated time giving me more time to unpack after a long day. I highly recommend them to anyone in the Pittsburgh area!

We've had good experiences with Steel City Movers the last two times we moved. This last time, however, was REALLY bad. Our estimate was roughly $100.00 off from what we were quoted when we first booked the movers. We were very perplexed because it was quoted at $500 for 5 hours with 2 movers, and ended up being $500 for 4 hours with 2 movers (although it only took 2 1/2 hours...you have to pay for at least 4 hours during the last part of the month...you know...when everyone's moving). Why was it so much for less time? The front office person who gave the initial estimate did not include any of the other costs besides the number of movers and the time needed. So basically the manager we spoke with just blamed it all on the new person. Great customer service *sarcasm.* Naturally it's an estimate and we understand that, but to be so far off? They should have owned up to their mistake and returned a portion. On top of that, my husband was accused of being bigoted because he asked them not to move a delicate (and full) jewelry cabinet. When they wrapped the cabinet up (ignoring what my husband said), they said "Don't worry we're S-T-E-E-L City Movers, not the other way around." This naturally made us super uncomfortable. We simply asked them not to move it because it was full and had delicate stuff in it. The whole experience was just super bad. Will not go with them again and will advise others to do the same.
