I had a bad experience with the company last week. To begin with, they were supposed to arrive between 2PM to 4PM but they showed up at 6:45PM. Secondly, I had asked for 3 movers but only 2 showed up. Thirdly, I had asked for disassembly/reassembly of my bed, however, they only detached the headboard while loading and kept everything else intact. As a result, they were not able to bring the bed upstairs at my new place, and eventually, they clearly refused to disassemble and bring the bed upstairs and just left it on the ground floor. They were clearly in a hurry to wrap everything up ASAP as it was already 1AM at night. To conclude, I do sympathize with the movers as they were working since morning in this hot and humid temparature, however, it was the responsibility of Nordtrans to arrange for movers to arrive on time and make sure that they are well rested. They won't give the clients any discount on their bill but are totally okay sending movers who are at 70% productivity level. P.S: This was my second move with this company. The first one was back in 2015 and went really well. I'm very disappointed as I spoke highly of this company before all this.

It was my first move with Nordtrans and just WOW. Not only I did love their online quoting system, and day prior reminder, but the team of two, was very professional, and very fast. I moved from Montreal to Toronto 2 bedroom apart.. There was a bit of a trouble with the elevator at the new building, and they were positive, and helpful during moving time. I honestly didn't feel one bit of stress, and you'll know that's a BIG bonus. They took great care with my stuff, and were friendly. I'd definitely use them again!

This review was long long due! I have to apologize upfront for the delay - but better late than never! I used NordTrans to move to Toronto from Montreal late April. Like many who may be reading this, I read ample reviews and this was the first time ever that I was doing a cross-province shift. Needless to say, I had a lot of jitters having read the comments and reviews from many and also having considered multiple vendors for this. I eventually concluded that perfection is an illusion and decided to take a chance and I am glad that I took the chance with NordTrans. I contacted the customer care and got the quote and once the price was settled, the dates were fixed and the guys showed up as planned and on time. In about an hour the loading as all done and they showed up in Toronto a few minutes ahead of time. There was a little hiccup with the logistics as others were also moving out and that led to some confusion. But things were resolved and in about one hour the unloading was also over! All in all, the experience was very good with no surprises or hidden costs. So what can be done to ensure that it will be as smooth an experience as possible? A few things: 1. Plan in advance. I know this is easier said than done, but to the best extent, keep everyone in the loop so that there are no nasty surprises for both the parties. Movers are humans too, and while we do pay for their services, it is not fair to take things for granted. Be open and voice out any concerns and flag any issues that should be expected or borne in mind. 2. Do your due diligence - from getting the proper packing materials to ensuring that the packaging is good, I had ensured that things are all labeled, and created an inventory of items so that nothing is unaccounted for. 3. Make sure that the building management is aware of when you'll be moving in/out and have the necessary logistics in place - elevators, etc. 4. Be respectful. Moving is hard for everyone involved. But tempers flying around won't get anything done. Be patient and keep smiling. :) All in all, I would certainly recommend NordTrans! :)

Nordtrans was recommended to me by a friend. The service I received was very good, the rate was fair and service was great. I would use this company again in the future.

I was sceptical about this company after reading the recent bad reviews and let's just say that the receptionists are special in their customer service approach. The moving guys were supposed to come between 2 pm - 3 pm. They came at 4.30pm. Except from this, it was a smooth process. Move took 4.5 hours and they did the job without any help from us or friends present. I was impressed because it was their 3rd move of the day. Worth the price, I would say.
