Excellent customer service and very personable staff. Just went in to get my son his first hockey helmet and was very impressed with the service from all the staff. My son is only 3 and is on the small side for his age. The guys put together a helmet and cage that worked perfectly all well keeping him entertained. This wasnt the first store we looked for a helmet at. But I'm sure we will be going back to docksteader exclusively for all our sports equipment.

Should be a heritage landmark. Serving our family since 1981. Always a good time to see Dave. Support the small business owner!!! If I could give Dave and his Lee and Ted and all the rest of the guys 11/10 rating I would. Some of these people's reviews on here are just not possible as I have SHOPPED HERE AND ONLY HERE SINCE JUNE 1981. That's 5 stores and moves ago. Dave cares and his Team cares and they will get it right. They know exactly what is going on with Hockey and Lacrosse I know for a fact. Also, I know how busy it gets. I mean I am known well there and I wait sometimes. You think you get this kind of one on one personal service of guys that know the game year in year out at a big box store? lol Besides nothing but respect for the small business owner. That is how this country was built. Respect. J

Extremely impressed! Had an excellent experience throughout the process. I called before I went and visited twice for a fast-pitch bat as a birthday gift. The staff were just amazing, no matter over the phone or in person. They answered the questions and gave very professional suggestions totally based on the customer's need. For some reason, I visited both times right before the store closing and they were still being very patient. Finally I got the right items I wanted before the "big day". Thanks a lot!! Will definitely come back if I need more gears or... maybe just some tips for playing softball!!

1 star is only because I cannot put 0 stars. Absolutely butchered my skate blades! I work all over Canada and use the source for sports franchise wherever I am staying to buy new sporting gear and get my skates sharpened, I’ve grown used to the standards and quality of the staff and their work. Apparently this one store has a much lower standard then the rest. This store went over my blades 27 times while sharpening and when I stepped on the ice they weren’t sharp at all and had to go get them sharpened again. Staff members were unprofessional, rude, and didn’t seem to care about the customers but more interested in chatting with each other. Will not recommend to anyone nor will I be returning to this place. I hope you guys can up your standards and get better staff.

Had the worst experience at this store. The Staff was very unprofessional and rude. As a former manager of a source for sports in Nova Scotia I know the standards we are held to in this business and they came nowhere near it. Myself and a few friends of mine went to get our skates sharpened. When the skates were finished they sharpened them so much it started to burn the steel. We went to our game and not one of us had an edge. We were all disappointed in our experience and will not be returning to this location.
