I was extremely disappointed with my service at this store this weekend. We had gotten a new tire for my daughters bike from here last year, I believe a new tube for it. It was at the end of the summer so we never used it after the new tube went on. We went to go biking Saturday and topped off the tire on air as it had been sitting all year. Sunday when we went to ride again it was completely flat. We brought it in and the woman working told us that they could look at it. She came back and said the film between the tire and tube had shifted and popped the tube. We said we only used it once, she said because we put air in that it wasn't covered. We asked how much it would cost and she said only 99 cents for a new dividing strip (sorry, I don't remember what it was called). When she came out, she presented us with a bill for about $20. $8 for labor, the cost for a strip and the cost for a new tube. We were pretty upset. Not only were we not told we were going to be charged, but we only got to use the new tube from last year once... The previous visit to this location I brought in my bike in for a tune up. I called a week later (2 days after they told me to expect a call). They said it wasn't ready yet. I waited another few days and called again. They said it was done. I went over there and surprise, it wasn't done. They had confused my bike with someone else's. Just all around poor customer service.

This review is based on the Westland location (can't speak for the other locations but would expect the same quality). If you're considering a new Trek or Giant bike you owe it to yourself to check out D&D. Just purchased a Trek Fuel EX8 from Don Jr. in Westland. I was so happy with the price and service provided I decided to purchase a Trek Roscoe 7 for my son too. From basic to high end these guys know their gear and help ensure you make the best selection for your riding style and budget. Do yourself a favor if your considering a new bike and check out D&D. (Knowledgeable, unpretentious, no felt pressure, great prices and service) I would also note - I was not asked by anyone at D&D to submit this post or compensated in any way.

Went in to D&D today looking for a comfort bike. I was the only customer given the April Michigan weather. Service was quick and helpful. Test ride was without problems. They were able to tune up the bike immediately. Checked out without problems. Would highly recommend D&D's Westland store to anyone looking for a new ride! Very satisfied with service today.

I came here to get a presta valve adapter. It was cheaper than Dicks Staff was very helpful and friendly. Prices were very reasonable.
