Some improvements could be made to inventory options. Actually observed staff being very friendly and helpful with customers. The store is clean and well organized. Although some teams and options could be improved, overall the selection is good. Prices are competitive to products at other retailers.

I went to Lids Kingsway late last year to have a couple of hats embroidered. The customer service is a little lacklustre, no one really asked if I needed help, and then trying to make eye contact and grab someone's attention was difficult (store wasn't busy) so I felt kinda rude being like "uh, excuse me, can I please have some help?". I pretty much knew what I wanted when I went in so the lack of action sucked. The saving grace was this- I knew what I wanted embroidered toed the line of being inappropriate, and I was vaguely aware of Lids having pretty strict policy about not taking on such jobs. The manager was there and after a little thought and discussion, she decided to let me go ahead with the job and I super appreciate that! (For those who are curious, it was a slogan from a powerlifting community I run online, the phrase "bonerkill brigade" haha) In the end, I got what I expected. I will say it kinda sucks that the embroidery fee is per-location (ie 2nd location on same hat isn't discounted), but at the same time it's to be expected with one-off jobs rather than production runs.

Less then a week until superbowl and the number 1 provider of sports team hats I Canada doesn't have stuff for the super bowl teams. So lame, so typically Canadian. Not impressed at all have turned to spending extra money and buying off the NFL shop for any hat now
