We love coming here whenever we're in Banff. Stocked up on gifts for my family in the UK - maple syrup, maple tea, mugs & sweaters - which they loved. Staff are always very helpful. Great shop!

Do not waste your time here the staff are rude... We arrived at the store at 10am which is when two signs on their door said was the time they opened. The girl opened the door at 10am then went it and locked it ( she arrived at 10am 15 mins later were still waiting husband wanted a sweater. She then puts on the open sign but still does not open to door I then knocked on the door pointed to the sign where she shakes her head no and put the blinds up????? Make a no sense terrible customer service!

I am here visiting the beautiful Canadian Rockies with my mother, my partner, and my kids. The trip has been a WONDERFUL experience, UNTIL today- when we stopped into Cascade Gifts. I hadn't noticed but my partner noticed that my children who are of mixed race and my nephew who has a darker complexion were being followed by a male staff member whom I assume is the owner of the manager. He was following my partner and the kids as if they were going to steal from the store. He then got into it with my partner because he then stood up for the children and let the manager know that he was RACIALLY PROFILING, which he WAS. Instead of helping MY mother who is white, he was more attentive to three minority children and my partner. I had a GREAT time here in Canada, until today- when I stepped into this disgusting, place of "buisness". If you have ANY sense of morals or values, I would reconsider stepping foot into this gift shop. There are so many gift shops to choose from, especially one that does NOT racially profile its customers.

BOYCOT!!! BOYCOT!!! BOYCOT!!! BOYCOT!!! BOYCOT!!! BOYCOT!!! BOYCOT!!! BOYCOT!!! BOYCOT!!! BOYCOT!!! BOYCOT!!! BOYCOT!!! BOYCOT!!! BOYCOT!!! BOYCOT!!! BOYCOT!!! If you have any conscience, do not shop there. The owner is a bias Asian/oriental individual who follows children who are non-white around the store, for the only reason that his ignorant mind has him believe they are there to steal. It is as if they are in the store to steal their cheap tourist merch without parents. They deserve zero business. He asked my family including my mother in law to leave the store because I made him aware of his profiling and disrespectful manner; Shop else where; The store should be BOYCOTTED!!!!! Put the pressure of lost revenue to change their bias behaviors. Read other reviews, there is definitely a problem there.
