After volunteering to be an assistant coach, I was told I was head coach for my son's rally cap baseball team with only 3 days notice, upon explaining why I couldn't be head coach to the league, they still insisted that I do it. As a result the kids have a coach who is late to or missing more then 1/2 the games. ultimately it is unfair to the kids. In addition they give no indication as to what kind of scheduling commitment needs to be made until after they have taken your money and done team assignments. In my daughters league (tadpole) I only found out 2 months after signing up that there were games during the week as early as 4:30pm. The Surrey Canadian Baseball Association clearly has no cares towards working parents, nor to the children who are signed up. I would highly suggest avoiding the SCBA, and signing your children up for a sport where the league cares about them and not just about getting your money.

Its all about the kids and fair play. Awesome association with dedicated volunteers on the SCBA council.
