I delivered bundles of newspapers to the carriers around Nelson and they also got me to deliver yellow pages to rural boxes out to 6 mile and take the little ferry too. I enjoyed that kind of solitary work but what made me award 1 star (lol: Nelson 1 Star)) was when the weekly paper became bi-weekly there was no corresponding raise; then after 2 1/2 years wearing and tearing my poor Nissan Pathfinder they had the temerity to reduce my pay to $50/week from the original $100 ... i told the guy that I quit then. It cost $30 in gas each time. I should have reported it, but didn't know who to talk to and was also too busy trying to find a place to live and having to move. It has too much wasteful advertising crammed in its pages.
