Excellent play ground. So far the largest play ground I have seen around Halifax region. It has two baseball grounds, roller skating track plus a super big green field. The field is adorned with narrow roads connecting the two sides of the field and offers bicyclists, pedestrians to take a short cut to get to their destination. Since it's a big and open place, it is generally quite windy so be aware of that. Overall, it's a great place to spend until the dusk.

Very nice place. Activity book provided by information center helps in exploring things one after the other. Had a great day. Saw a group having birthday party. Wasn't aware that we can organise private party as well.

Great park. The oval is so much fun. Yoga. Bike paths. A fountain. It has everything!

Absolutely one of my favorite places whether you want to set up and play badminton on the well groomed grass or make your way around the walking paths and play with any number of dogs or visit the oval and get your skate on.

The Halifax common used to be a spooky and scary place after Dark, and during the day it was just a big empty field with sort of unused baseball diamonds. Every once in awhile they would be a festival or a concert or some activity to draw people there but when it wasn't occupied it seems like wasted space. All that has changed in the last few years. The construction of the Halifax Skating Oval was a real game changer, and with the installation of lights and a few other infrastructure improvements it's become a really usable public space. I'm looking forward to greater improvements as time goes on.
