Have always been satisfied with my experience with this credit union. No extra surprises or fees. Plus they help out local charities and businesses as well as sponsor some events in London.

Libro Credit Union is a financial service, not a bank. Due to a recent experience with this branch I'd recommend that investments like a TFSA with GIC's be done at a regulated bank. A friend of mine had named me as a beneficiary to his TFSA if he passed prematurely. I have been told that I'm not the beneficiary because they can't find the signed copy. I was with my friend when he called me into the manager's office to sign the paperwork. I have bank statements with my name as beneficiary. No one is correcting this and the account has gone to probate because they are denying that I'm the beneficiary. This is pretty ironic because you get a TFSA to avoid taxes, this defeats the purpose. Usually I'm for small and local but perhaps there's good reason that there was the question of being able to use the word "bank" in their promotions. I strongly urge anyone reading this to go to a bank if they are thinking about investing or leaving a legacy to someone, especially if you are dealing with a substantial amount of money. A regular bank would adhere to higher standards and have good protocols in place. If paperwork like this is lost, you pay the price for their mistake and can be out thousands of dollars. If you are a beneficiary, you are already grieving the loss of someone you care about, you don't need this too. If I were leaving something behind, I wouldn't want this to happen either. They're called last wishes for a reason. Yes, the staff are friendly and Libro gives to charity but when you are dealing with investments, you need to be able to trust your financial institution and I can't say that you can trust this one,

Handled my situation & $$ with the satisfaction I was told about. It was a great recommendation from someone who had a good experience and continues to do so!! ... .. . I would recommend the same to any other individual looking to move their monies to a different methodology and credit union ways of banking (if you are going to utilize their credit union style of banking featuresi you'll be very happy with your expierience, if not, ditto! ) Of course they do have traditional types of banking options and plans available.
