We visited the New Dundee Community Centre for a fireworks display over the Victoria Day long weekend. The centre has a 2 large baseball diamonds, green space, indoor activity rooms, on-site wheelchairs for persons who require them and accessible washrooms. The grounds were also large enough to host a midway (rides for the kids, games, cotton candy, glow-in-the-dark swords and other toys for kids to use/wear, bubble wands, etc.) and Bar-B-Q (hot dogs/sausages /burgers, pretzels, popcorn, coffee, bottled water) There were easily a few thousand people in attendance, but there was lots of room for people to play catch, Frisbee, walk their dogs and even relax. And when it was all over the local police used effective traffic control measures to get everyone out of the area quickly and without too much idling. It was all handled quite well. Make sure you have a blanket or portable chairs in the car, and bringing a reusable drinking vessel is also a good idea. This place is family friendly and dog friendly and was a nice short drive from Guelph
