As it's such a large space, would be nice if divided into small/ big dog sections. Have encountered many well - behaved dogs, but frequently meet big dog owners who don't correct their big dogs' aggressive / alpha behaviour.

We have been visiting this Dog Park for almost a year now. It’s a clean large open park with plenty of room for many dogs to run and one of the reasons we liked it was because it was usually fairly empty. Our puppy didn’t like lots of dogs at once and this fit the bill, but the secret is out and over the last months I’ve seen more and more people discovering this park which is a good thing. Dogs have been well behaved and owners are aware and respectful. The park just needs some TLC, the gates are bent and misaligned (I actually brought my tools to fix one so it would latch and stay closed), the grading is terrible causing the entry area to always be soaked if there’s any moisture and there’s a section that almost constantly has water in it making for very muddy puppies. There are two small “pavilions” that used to have lattice roofs but could use some repairs but I don’t think there’s a group designated to maintain this park. No shade, no drinking water, no wind breaks at all, no trees or foliage surrounding the fences and when it’s cold, it’s very very cold. It’s not fancy but the dogs don’t seem to mind.

Windy, exposed to sun as trees are young and far away, clay very dry and dusty. On plus side lots of seating for parents and players. Two ball diamonds do double duty as softball and OMBA kids baseball.

Palermo park is my favorite softball diamond in Oakville
