nice facility, spacious library, clean washroom but do not come here to study. the staff allow the teenagers to sit in the quiet sections of the library and do not police this area. The kids own this library and they are loud. They start entering around 3pm. They often sit on the couches near the quiet section and start talking. The quiet section is roughly 1/10th of the library yet the workers cannot maintain it properly. If you need to study, forget this public space, go to a university library.

Easily my favourite library branch in Hamilton! Especially great for bringing my 6 year-old after school or on weekends. Love that the children's play area has a glass partition, so you can let your child(ren) play independently while monitoring them from outside (and do your own reading too!). The building also has a family YMCA and a small cafe outside the library entrance for light snacks. There is also a small children's playgound beside the building, and ample parking space.

I used to work here 2009-2012. A great library that has a lot of resources available to patrons.

They are very aggressive when telling you to leave, with 2 announcements, someone coming around and telling you, and then 30 seconds of flashing the lights on and off in the closing minutes. We get it. You're closing. We are using our minute. I know it's silly but it makes me feel like a burden 🤷‍♂️

It's very convenient with lots of outlets and seats. The only issue is the younger staff are very noisy when they chat with each other in the silent study areas and they don't inform others that they are too noisy.
