Decaying Edinburgh Baseball Club

This is a horrible place to be part of. I have been a member of the Edinburgh Baseball Club for some time on and off (with a conviction things might change) and the way they treat their members is worse than appalling. It’s a shame because I enjoy the sport very much. Most recently things got from bad to worse. Everyone is asked to pay £15 per month. The club provides absolutely nothing for this. If you try to question this, you’ll receive threats from the manager Paul. I consider myself respectful of other people's religions and beliefs, however, during one of the training sessions I was forced by one of the members to take part in a prayer which starts every game of the Cannons team I am part of. I felt very uncomfortable about this as this is a rather personal matter to me. I would avoid this club by all means if I were you. Despite feeling pressurized to leave the club I am still a member waiting for clarifications from them and I will update this review shortly…

I have belonged to this organization for 4 years and I could describe my stay as wonderful, the reception by the people who run this organization has been warm and fraternal. The organizing team always has the best attitude to listen to suggestions and in my particular case they have supported me to continue being part of this organization even when I have financial difficulties. Most of the guys who play this beautiful sport are friendly and willing to give you good advice to improve your performance. I recommend 100%, so if you love this sport and you want to play at a good level you can join us, you will not regret it

This is a horrible place to be part of. I have been a member of this club for some time on and off (with a conviction things might change) and the way they treat their members is worse than appalling. I have recently made a number of complaints to the club and was replied to in a rude and aggressive manner “If you are in so much of a disagreement on how the club operates perhaps this is not the club for you…” This is the kind of reply I received when I submitted a formal request regarding its finances, how the fees I pay to the club are spent and a complaint to the club. Discrimination is no strange to this club. Some members were forced to resign or leave the club in name and shame games that happen within it. The review is solely for the Edinburgh Baseball Club. Today (13th of July, 2022) I went to trainging to hand in an official letter of complaint as they did not want to accept my earlier emails with the same content as today's letter and to no surprise I was greeted by the club manager Paul and my (now former) team coach Ruari only to be informed that I have been expelled from the club. This was in front of other club members. When I asked why, they explained that the fact I shared my feelings/opinions about the state of the club with other members of the club and wrote this review were the reasons. I would avoid this club by all means if I were you.
