Love this little camp ground! It's just across the river from Dawson city, you have to take the ferry to get there, and in summer you should get there early, because the line up for the ferry can be long, and you can be waiting a while. But once you're there you can easily walk to the ferry and walk on the ferry to get back into dawson. It's a Very quiet and well maintained camp ground. Free fire wood, clean out houses and cheap. Try and reserve a site at the end of the camp ground on the river side, you won't be disappointed with the view.

Camped here before it was a great place!! I'm wondering if anyone can tell me when they open for the season?

Great campsite when visiting Dawson City, or what remains of it. At least two or three nights recommended to explore the surroundings. The last Yukon river ferry takes you 24/7 in a few minutes to the small but still atmospheric town. There are no services on this side of the river (except clean pit toilets) but the town provides everything a traveler needs. Besides the scenic town, the Midnight Dome Peak is an absolut must in halfway clear weather. Bonanza Creek and Dawson Dredge no. 4 within easy reach. If you have a 4WD or the weather has been dry for a longer time, the clean, green and absolutely quiet campsite right next to the Yukon River provides a great rest before taking the next stretch on the Top of the World Highway to Alaska, or, for the daring, even the Dempster further North into the North Western Territories.

Excellent clean pit toilets and lots of wood available. One of the best campgrounds I have ever visited.
