Soccer Cents is one of those small stores, meaning NOT corporate-owned, that deserve to be supported by the local community. Management & staff are friendly and always looking to assist. This location has very limited square footage, however, they have a surprisingly good selection of soccer gear, so you should consider it as an option. Also, if you are looking to buy team gear, this is a good place to go and take advantage of their wholesale prices for volume purchases.

I'm giving this place a low rating specifically for their customer service. The guy helped me look for a shoe and size and ended up getting a size 9 Umbro Classico 3. Now I'm no soccer expert so when the guy said this was a great fit and all I trusted his judgement and bought them. After warming up on an artificial terf field for about 30 mins they felt quite loose, as if they were about to fall off. So the next day I called them wondering if I could exchange for half a size down, but since they were used they couldn't do anything for me. I went to the Kingsway Boundary location and even the OWNER of the store said there was nothing he could do. I understand that they can't resell a slightly used shoe but honestly it was THEIR fault for incorrectly sizing me. They could have at least offered me a small token of compensation such as a discount on my next purchase. I felt like I got ripped. Now I can't even use these shoes cause I'm afraid I might roll my ankles on the field. Luckily these were fairly cheap; $40 bucks. If I bought a pair in the $100+ range I would've been absolutely furious. Not coming back here ever again.

I went in today in search of a specific Barcelona jersey I was having a hard time finding because it was nearing the new season. I had searched everywhere and had no luck because almost everywhere that was holding last years jerseys were 30% off to prepare for the 14/15 kits, So all that anyone had was XXL. I called soccer cents on broadway to find out that they did have my jersey in stock so I rushed over. The cashier was great, very polite, kind, and easy to talk to. Before I purchased the jersey at full price I figured I would ask if they were willing to price match the other stores in the city with the 30% off offer, specifically north american sports on hastings (also mentioning that Nike and BarcelonaFC's official website were offering the jersey at more that 30% off. When I asked that question nothing would have prepared me for her rude co-worker. From behind me she promptly told me "we don't do that" bluntly and harshly, The same way an irritated mother would talk to an annoying nagging son. I was caught off guard and asked why. the woman's response was..."we need to pay our co-workers." and she stormed off. not once did she look me in the face. I was disgusted by how I was treated, Not only did she not give me the time of day to consider that i was asking a very legitimate question that MANY businesses would have honoured. She didn't stop to think for a second that indeed Im a business owner myself. The notion that matching a 30% off on a 120$ jersey that everywhere else in the city is doing would for some reason cause her co-workers not to get payed is ridiculous, and my experience as a customer immediately went down the drain. With all this happening I can't help but think that the reason she didn't think I had enough wits to understand the basics of a small business is due to the fact that I'm 25 years old and very heavily tattooed. Looks can be deceiving But don't worry I'm used to being judged and feeling the pressures of prejudice. Still no reason to ever treat anyone the way i was treated. I awkwardly stood in front of the cashier after the short conversation not sure how i felt about anything. I didn't want to make a scene knowing it wouldn't accomplish any good. I still went on to purchase the jersey, not very happy, but I had come all that way i wasn't about to let that horribly foul woman ruin my day. I will NEVER step foot in that store again because of her which is unfortunate because the cashier was amazing. she offered me 10% off on my next pair of cleats which I'm sure is something they offer all their customers but it was an honourable attempt none the less as I'm sure she was shocked at her co-workers response and attitude toward me as well. I fear that the woman who talked to me was the manager, in which case i would suggest that that manager is removed and the cashier is promoted. Customer service is a tough one to master but it is completely essential. If you can't speak to people properly what are you doing in retail? BTW I have NEVER felt the need to review any business in my life but I felt this was necessary. Hopefully that shows the level of disgust I had with the way I was treated today. Go to another soccer store if you need something PLEASE! And if that woman ever reads this, I hope whatever is going on in your life thats so bad that you feel you need to talk to strangers that way gets better for you. I feel horrible that you felt you need to externalize that at work. and if your life is going well....then you just need some positive influences in your life to change the way you deal with social interactions. Speaking down to people won't get you far....
