My favorite local ski, board and paddle sports shop. Friendly knowledgeable staff, great equipment selection and rental/demo selection of skis and boards. My go-to place in seattle. Highly recommended

Very friendly, small locally owned company that has all the essentials covered. Quality equipment and very knowledgeable staff. Fair pricing.

I just had a great experience buying my first touring kayak. Heather was very patient, thorough and helpful carefully explaining the advantages and disadvantages of different pieces of equipment and asking questions to be sure I was getting the right kayak and gear for my needs. I highly recommend Mountain to Sound Outfitters if you're in the market for a kayak!

Not hard to find outdoor equipment in Seattle, but shops like Mountain to Sound are increasingly rare: a neighborhood shop with lots of gear, staffed by friendly locals with knowledge and passion for the outdoors. Pricing is also reasonable to dirt cheap, especially for their rental gear.

Rented snowshoes here, better stuff and price than REI.
