Love leaving the city and heading up to the Whistler-Blackcomb area. As I'm not a skier, I prefer the summer to visit. Love walking around the village, smelling the fresh air, taking in the activities, shopping and eating! It's great in the winter as well as it takes on a different feel. It's nice walking and playing in the snow and then moving indoors for some hot food and warming spirits!

What can I say? As world class as it gets. Great hotels, restaurants and shops. AMAZING mountains with super fast lifts, not to mention the Peak to Peak. Loved every minute here. So many amazing trails and runs. This is one of my favourite places in the world to snowboard. We also did some amazing back country snowmobiling. Epic.

What can I say? Incredibly commercial place. Almost like Disney. Not a place you can connect with nature without going through a middleman. Many beautiful places to visit in Canada unfortunately this would only make the list if you are into skiing or shopping in glorified malls. Every trail or road up the mountain is blocked off to the general public. You need to buy tickets to a Gondola, Ski lift or purchase a tour (jeeps) to access the mountain.

Love 7th Heaven.... great blue runs for an intermediate snowboarder like me. Love how Whistler Village is built around the lifts. Makes it easy to find good food and shop after a day on the slopes. Parking is expensive and sometimes hard to find. If you're staying anywhere within walking distance, don't drive.

I recently visited for an early spring ski vacation and the trip was well worth it! There are so many trails and runs to choose from, and the runs are well patrolled and groomed. There is something for every level of skier or rider, which made it welcoming to everyone in my group. I took a lesson on Blackcomb with Julie, and it was a fun experience that taught me a lot and helped me become much more comfortable on the mountain. I will definitely be coming back next year!
