These guys are great until they take your money, then if anything goes wrong they just shrug their shoulders and really don't care. Sold me a pair of $800 boots then stopped carrying that brand and stopped stocking spare parts. Need a new heel? Too bad so sad, how about a new pair of boots? Sold me a pair of skis that almost immediately started delaminating. Coming off in razor sharp shards that cut my gloves and jacket. Said I must be skiing wrong. Did I want to buy a new pair? If you want to pay for high end stuff you should go find someone who will stand behind it.

Destination ski used to be my go to spot however I will NEVER be going back after they ruined my ski boots and didn't offer me anything in return. My ski boots were a bit too big in the ankle area so I brought them in to get them padded around the ankle. Melvin was there helping me and he took his time and explained what they were going to do. I dropped them off and came back a week later on the day of pickup. (This happened in mid March of 2018). I was handed my boots and I sat down to try them on to make sure they fit. I put them on and the ankle area felt looser than before, which made no sense. So I took the boot off and took the boot liner out of the boot shell to find out that instead of padding around the ankle they punched it out and made it bigger. I went up and talked to one of the staff there and said "what happened to my boots?" and they said "oh we punched them out for you". I replied "no i needed them padded not punched" and the guy was said "oh". I asked him what he could do to reverse the punch out because now the boots did not fit me at all. (I could raise my foot two inches off the bottom of the boot because there was so much play in my ankle area) The guy said "we can't really reverse a punch out sorry" and I said " well you have to do something I'm supposed to go skiing tonight". Long story short, I ended up sitting there for an hour while he tried to "fix" my boots to no avail. He added some padding to try and get the boots to fit, as they did before I dropped them off, however the boots are so loose now that I can't wear them skiing anymore because my foot slips around too much. (I know I can't wear them skiing because I tried skiing in them that night and my foot just wouldn't stay in the boot.) So now my "used to be good ski boots" don't fit and I have to buy a new pair of boots because the staff at destination ski ruined mine. Overall, I am so disappointed at how they handled the situation I will never return.

Great place to go for knowledgeable staff who actually care about getting you into the right pair of boots. I had the pleasure of being helped by Paul, I didn't realize he was the owner at that time. I'm happy with my ski boots from them, and relieved that they stand behind their work - so I'll be able to bring my boots in for adjustments after trying them out. Highly recommended.

The folks at The Destination really know their stuff. They will outfit you with appropriate gear for your ability at a fair price. The only reason they don't get five stars is that when they get busy (which is often), you tend get left waiting and they have a ridiculously archaic accounting system (everything is still hand written). But once you've waited your turn, you will get full service by very qualified staff and they stand behind their product.
