I rented a beacon package for the 4th time this year at $25. We ended up having an epic that day and got back just after they closed. Came back early the next morning to return the beacon and they charged for an entire next day! They told me the day before they had plenty of packages left and they are rarely ever all rented out, so they didnt miss out on revenue from me returning the package the next morning. Do yourself a favour and only rent from MEC, they charge $15 and you can pick up the day before and return the day after. For a place that sells the outdoor lifestyle to people of Squamish, they sure are clueless to how a day of ski touring can take a little more than the 9 hours they are open.
