Small niche shop centered around rock, ice and expedition climbing gear. They have a great selection of rental gear. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about the gear they sell.

Fantastic climbing shop. Very well equipped and staffed by experts. Customer service is excellent and these guys stock by far the largest selection of speciality gear in bellingham. Stop by if you interested in climbing at any level, mountaineering, backpacking or any outdoor activity. Christian and Tom will have you covered!

AAI's equipment shop offers new, high quality mountaineering gear at reasonable prices. The staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and have a wealth of information for both the novice and experienced climber. They offer rental equipment and can help you plan a customized expedition no matter your skill level. We need more local, community minded options like American Alpine Institute. Always worth stopping in here first before going to bigger retailers. Fantastic customer service! Great resource!
