This Review is strictly on the venue when it’s used for Weddings. The Venue doesn’t seem to have a name separate from it’s Ski business & given my experience it’s important for anyone considering this as their wedding venue to have an idea of how they’ve done with weddings in the past. It’s esthetic is up to par. They have a beautiful outside area with lights, a fountain, & a garden feel. They included a wedding arch which was lovely & had real flowers. The inside reception area is also lovely & has hanging lights/ a chandelier. Unfortunately the fountain outside was not cleaned for the wedding day (we were told it would be) so the water was a really gross green.
We started off with a lovely wedding coordinator named Alexa. 3months in Alexa reached out that she would no longer be with the winter club but assured us we were in good hands. The new wedding coordinator was Deb & she was SUPER unorganized. Which just ended up being a constant with this venue from here on out. I kept trying to push to get things organized/picked out But I would get responses that it was still too early to be picking things like the table linens, chargers, center peices. We were very much so forced to run on her time. She would take weeks to reply to a message. After about 2months &then complaining to the owner (Michelle) we were told Deb had a family emergency &had to leave. We would be working with someone else. The 3rd wedding coordinator was named Mary very nice & patient girl. However it seemed the owner & her were handling the event together but did not communicate to each other. Mary would email us about bar options & then we would be asked about them again two times from Michelle. I was constantly having to go over things with each party seperatly which is clearly not something that would put the bride at ease. When we booked the venue we chose it because it had packages that included things like the table linens, center pieces, chargers, mr. & mrs. signs, table numbers, etc. At some point after we signed our contract they decided to no longer offer those packages. We were assured we would still have all the items because it was in our contract. They refuse to let you in more than 2hours prior to the event which makes it super inconvenient for vendors & the set up of the event. Mind you the ski place is in another part not connected to the reception. I was told the cake team were treated VERY rudely. Boxes for the event were left the night before at the venue &labeled accordingly. However when the cake company asked where the event items were they were told they had no idea. I was called as I was getting ready for my big day and had to tell them it was with the rest of the event boxes labeled “Cake table.†I was then also informed that the venue refused to sign for the cake delivery. So I would have to go &sign. I then rushed to the venue. By the time I got there my photographer signed for the cake. The venue didn’t have the table numbers & Michelle decided to then send someone to go get some. They were so unorganized I was literally setting up my reception hall because I was worried the communication between Michelle and everyone helping me set up would leave things looking subpar or worse. My tables ended up not being in the correct spots & the way they were lined up looked sloppy. It was disappointing/stressful.The end of the night we were SUPER rushed out. No consideration for us double checking that all our things were gathered etc. we also found out that someone apart of the venue team threw away all 12 of the plastic pillar tubes that were inside of our wedding cake and that needed to be returned to our cake company or we could lose our deposit. Which when we asked them about them they said they had never seen them but the caterer specifically washed them & set them next to the cake stand. All in all I say the beauty of the venue/convenience of being able to have the ceremony &reception in one, is not worth the stress or the price! We paid them well near $11,000 & they did not meet the expectations that come with that price tag.
