Chicopee is the easiest place to ski! Right in the city, it’s only a short drive away from most people in the region, a lot shorter than driving up north to the Blue Mountains. Tickets are cheap and they offer 2 hour passes if you don’t want to waste a day pass. They’ve got lots of packages and special promotion days like the discover pass where you get a lesson from their great instructors, rental skis, boots and poles and a lift ticket. Overall great place to come and ski especially for beginners. Seasoned pros will have trouble finding steep long terrain but they do have a nice park!

Amazing place to learn to ski. Small/easy for advanced skiers but the lines move quickly. Fantastic staff! My kids (4 & 5 yr old) enjoyed their private lessons and made a lot of progress in a short time. We will go again next winter!

Best friend got married here. The forest where the wedding was held is beautiful. We got some amazing shots of the wedding party. Inside food was pretty decent and servers were fast with drinks. Overall good experience.

Yes, it's a small ski hill - but it's still lots of fun. It's pretty sweet that we have a ski hill right here in the city. We went a number of times over March break in the evening. No lineups! Conditions were great and their Discovery pass is an awesome deal. Rentals are good quality. If you're thinking about getting into skiing or want your kids to learn this is a great place to do so. Staff are friendly. We had a meal upstairs and while expensive, it was good and we had a nice view of the hill. Had a salad with lovely fresh greens and my son enjoyed his burger.

Chicopee Tube Park is a great option for a family event in the winter. We find that about 2 hours is a good amount of time (or 3 hours if it is really busy). They give you just over the 2 hours of time on your tag so you have time to get ready to go. They have the ability to make snow for the hill so it is often open all winter. Various amounts of "slow down mats" are used to make sure you don't crash at the bottom based on hill conditions. Helmets are required for children. You can rent them there or bring your own. All forms of helmets are accepted from hockey helmets to ski helmets to bike helmets. They have a moving sidewalk mat to help you get up the hill without having to walk all the way up. At the top of the hill staff give you a nice push and spin (if you wish). The size of the group allowed to go at one time will vary based on the hill conditions. There are 6 runs that are able to be open at one time. They open up the number of runs based on how many people are on the hill. For those of you watching there is a heated chalet overlooking the hill. It is also a great place to get a warm drink or snack. We love the fries and hot chocolate!
