Unfortunately I did not have a great experience. After years of patronage there was a simple mix up. Their street side light sign said 8 am opening. The tech on Friday said open at 8 am. And then after an hour drive to be there for my skiis at 8 am to head out for our last ski day a paper post on the door said 9. That would be one thing if the staff that attended at 9 directly after clearly seeing us standing outside for an undetermined time were actually rude about it. Not even an apology. When asked about the street sign a flippant "we can't change it. It locked us out" was to be had. Maybe... turn it off? Cover it? Make sure your staff know the proper times? Post a notice informing of the change to forewarn? And mayhaps an apology, or even a tad of sympathy for our lost time and inconvenience. Or, full charge and business as usual. Surprised, and will be looking for a new ski shop. Not that I suspect they will notice.

Always great stock and knowlegable staff! Don't let their youth fool you. They know their skiing and bikes!

Very disappointed So disappointing, especially coming from Skiis and Bikes. Was at the Collingwood store today, almost bought our third bike from Skiis and Bikes in less than a year. The bike is on display at the entrance of the store, price clearly shown on the sticker. I ask to talk to the "bike" person, she confirms the model and the sale price. They take the bike down, I hop on, yes, it fits. My daughter hops on, she likes it too. I'm told I can't take it out for a spin give the snow and salt outside. OK, understandable. We check the load on the shocks, it's a bit low, one of the guys brings it downstairs to adjust. I'm by the cash, ready to pay. I wait for a few minutes. Then they come back to me saying that they won't sell me the bike at the price on the sticker. I'll need to fork out an extra $2000 if I want it. It just went from a sale price of $3000 to now $5000. The guy then tells me he does not need to sell it to me lower that that because he thinks can find a buyer at $5000. I'm not making this up, that is what he said. Really disappointed, used to be my favorite bike shop. What happened? Did they change owners?? March 7: the bike shows on sale for $4379 on the skiis and bikes site, ironic when compared with $5000 the $5000 I was told a few weeks ago.
