I have found this place to be nothing but a pleasurable experience. Not only Mount Pakenham Ski resort has the best ski hills for beginners like myself and my young son, but also has the kindest staff. The pricing is very affordable especially when one comes for the Saturday night skiing (4-9pm). At around $50 for two lift day passes plus rentals, no other ski resort around the Ottawa region can beat that. We'll certainly continue coming to this wonderful ski resort.

Good family ski hill. Not very challenging and not a very high verticle. Good place to learn and has a good snow school.

Place is awesome, but it needs a few more signs for us newbies... I was totally lost without knowing where to go or what to do for a beginner snowboarding lesson, first time there... It was a 55 minute lesson, we lost about 25 minutes trying to figure out what to do and asking here and there to find our instructor... We got to the place 90 minutes in advance as requested, but with all the registering, changing clothes, renting equipment, getting lost, asking where to go, asking again, etc... We still missed half of our lesson... One of the instructors told me to go back to the main office to make them page my assigned instructor, which lead us into losing more time... Anyway, not a great experience for a first timer, but we tried to enjoy as much as possible our short lesson

This place is great for both beginners and seasoned skiers. The quality of trails is fine, the rental service is excellent, ticketing counter service is great. They also have a tubing facility priced reasonably just $12 + HST. The tracks are not long, though. No lift service to go up the hill for tubing. This was my 3rd or 4th visit to this resort during the past 10 years, but the road at the resort is still bad. This was my most unpleasant experience with this place. They should fix the road and lay down some asphalt.

This place is excellent for all, family, school groups, BIRTHDAY parties, even host a wedding. The staff are friendly and efficient. The location is picturesque and the food is pretty darned good for a ski lodge. The little pub is warm and inviting with the huge fireplace. The skiing is delightful for beginners to intermediate.
