It's a great ski hill and has been forever. The new owners are great and are making many positive changes to the hill. The hospitality is great and everyone is so nice. The hills are always groomed to perfection and the trails are fun to take. I haven't personally done the tubing yet but I've heard it is a blast. I highly recommend Mount Baldy to anyone who is coming to Thunder Bay to visit.

Went there for a charity event to raise funds for United Way of Thunder Bay. It was my first time being here and I really enjoyed it here. Good inside seating area. Small kitchen but great food. The pizza was delicious. Had lots of fun tubing down the hill. You could catch speed really fast, and its great thrill. However there were a few bumps at the bottom of the hill for which if you are not prepared could seriously hurt you. So watch you bum. They also have this "magic carpet" they call it which is an alternate to the regular cable chairs. I know it's not major but it's an experience. They also had a bonfire going on if you want to stay outside and embrace the cold a little. Overall it's a great place for the whole family to go and visit, and pricing is not too bad either. Ski and snow board rentals are available at this place- don't know the pricing on them.

Mt. Baldy was a small but well-equipped and well-priced establishment that has a small family-owned feel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, lessons were affordable and included rentals and the instructors were patient. We had a great time as a family. They have helmets and everything else you could need.

For a ski hill in Ontario, really good. Don't expect Banff like ski hills due to the low altitude and lack of mountain ranges like the rockies.

Today was my first time skiing since I had a stroke a year and a half ago - I could not have had a better day. Everything at Mount Baldy from the staff to the hill, concession, chalet, rentals, bar, lift, tubing, and everything in between was exceptional. I went with my BIL, niece and nephew. Mount Baldy is, very family friendly, a great place to learn to ski/snowboard(they have a magic-carpet), and/or challenge yourself on the intermediate or difficult runs. Alternatively, If skiing/snowboarding is not your thing they have (snow) tubing as well - tubes and magic-carpet (lift) included. I'm still running on a natural euphoric high and will definitely be adding Mount Baldy as a "must do" activity everytime I visit Thunder Bay. If you're looking for a fun, affordable, memorable winter activity, I'd highly recommend Mount Baldy. Lastly, everyone and anyone can have a stroke (yes even young people!) If you're having symptoms of a stroke (severe headache, face drooping, arm/leg weakness, slurred speech...) please get checked. Have fun out there and stay safe.
