I rated these guys 5 stars previously and wish I could give them 6 stars now. My propel drive on my Native Watercraft kayak broke under warranty. I was concerned I wouldn't get the warranty work done and get the drive back before my vacation. Steve who I worked with there was awesome and put in calls for me and I got my drive back in 1 week flat in time for my trip. Highly recommend this shop for your next purchase; the people there are knowledgeable and can answer any questions you have.

I really enjoyed the selection and offering here at this location. The staff were helpful and as attentive as needed. Ultimately I was window shopping so i cant speak on the purchasing, returns, and overall shopping experience. When am ready to purchase something that they offer, i will definitely be back to give them a shot.

We purchased both a Hobie Proangler 14 and Hobie Outback kayak as well as several accessories. The sales staff was outstanding (Steve, James and Brendan). They answered all of our questions and shared their in-depth product knowledge. We live far from Brighton and their customer service assistance over the phone was very helpful. We couldn't be any happier with our shopping experience at Summit Sports in Brighton.

I bought a Wilderness Systems 14 foot Pungo back in late April. Over the period of a month of so I noticed it would always stray right. At first i blamed my technique, but it wasnt me. When I started getting into currents it was a terrible fight to go to the left while currents hitting me from the right could easily be paddled against. I flipped it over and discovered the keel was warped to starboard. I also used a string pulled tight to trace the center and it confirmed that the keel eas indeed off by almost 2 inches. After at least a week of getting nowhere someone from the Brighton store called me and basically said their Wilderness Systems expert said there's no way that could happen in manufacturing. This is where Summit Sports 100% customer satisfaction gaurantee starts failing. anyone that knows plastics processing knows that when the process is adjusted wrong it causes any of a few issues with the plastic. Because I sure as hell didn't warp the keel. He even tried to imply that my garage was too hot. This is not customer satisfaction. I decided I was going to stop messing around and return it in full for the store credit until I could get another one. If it wasn't for finally getting April on the phone that's what I would have done. April was great and she found another exact color and model in Texas to have them ship up to their store. It should have been a week in shipping. A week and two days pass and I find out the Texas store just now shipped it out. Not April's fault, but a complete failure on Summit Sports as a whole. As far as I'm concerned April was the only one that's actually been a help in this needlessly painful process. Meanwhile I've not been kayaking in almost a month due to the issue. Summit sports sucks and the only reason I'll give them any more business is because April will at least try to deliver a good customer experience even if everyone else won't. Technically the situation isn't even yet resolved and if it doesn't get appropriately resolved I won't be buying my next 3 kayaks here.
