The conveyor belt style of skiing is different to snow, most noticeably the inner ear motion, it feels like you are skiing backwards and when you brake you go up the mountain... Plus you don't control your speed as its set by the instructor who is managing three different skill levels on one belt (that applies for beginner session and intermediate) . Worth a go to find out for yourself, but ultimately not for us (one beginner and myself skiing for 10 years). The staff were excellent and skilled, just beware that learning here you will not pick up the mountain skills you need such as always put on skis perpendicular to mountain (they put them on facing down because conveyor belt is off) and walking with skis, or drag lifts, even walking in ski boots in snow, or riding the changing surface.

Great idea. I've learned a lot and it has really helped me tremendously with my skiing But I'm not very happy with the way they calculate the learning/practice time they give you on the slope. First they charge you for an hour. They only give you 30 minutes which they claim is the same as One hour one a live ski slope. They then split up the 30 minutes into Two skimpy 15 minute sessions. Which ends up as Two 12 minute sessions. So for a One hour session you get 24 minutes. You decide if this is good value.

• No instruction with ski boots – I had to show my boyfriend how to put them on correctly • Minimal instruction on the slope we were just left to figure it out for ourselves. The most frustrating part being that we could both see/hear an excellent instructor taking a class on the next slope (I believe his name was Asher). He was giving clear individual instructions to the 3-different people on the opposite slope, telling them how to improve and what they were doing wrong. • I think we would have got so much more out of the session with Asher than we did with Emily. • We did not receive log books. I was planning on booking another session after the first but I will not be doing so now. • We paid £39.95 each for 30 minutes on the slope with little/no lesson. What I had hoped to be a fun and useful trip for my boyfriend has if anything deterred him from putting on skis again.

Great place to get your ski legs back even if you are an experienced skier. Yes, it is a bit weird skiiing on a carpet but I prefer doing this then strengthening my legs by putting my back to the wall in a squat position. Staff are really friendly and great instructors.

As an absolute beginner it was a great place to go and get some experience. I was the only one on my slope so I had 1-2-1 tuition which was amazing. The instructor was very patient and understanding so there was no pressure.
