Lovely place, a bit pricey, but the staff is very helpful and friendly, and of course real snow is real snow, way better than any plastic spoofing. Open till late most of the week, so that you can ski or snowboard even after hours if you still have enough steam for that. My children (18 and 11) absolutely love it. Oh, and you can also hire a proper skiing suit and gloves for 12 quid. But not the socks. They can only sell quite mediocre ones for a tenner, so you better have a decent pair of your own.

Had a day pass for the slope to use my board the slope is good. The snow is nice and soft feels close to how it is on the acutaul slopes I have been to other indoor slopes and have to say that the snow here is much better than others I have been to. The slope is a little short for my liking however the drag lifts at either side were well placed and I got a lot of runs in. The drag lifts are also very easy to use even for novices. The check in was a breeze and the staff were very helpful. The prices were fair even cheap (off season when I went). The food in the restaurant was served quickly and was very nice with a good choice on the menu and at a good price I will defiantly be returning!

It was a really enjoyable two hours. The snow was surprisingly good, I expected some fabricated rubbish but was actually real (!) snow. The course is about 100m long, with two drag lifts so you don't have to wait long. It is not over-crowded either. They also have a leaner slope for children where you book lessons. You do need to be able to get yourself down and use a button lift or they won't let you on. My youngest had completely forgotten how to board, so they let him try skis. The restaurant upstairs is quite good and not massively expensive.

Best indoor skiing I have tried in the London area. I have used it for recreational skiing, practice or lessons and fantastic for it all. The main slope is nice and wide and it's usually serviced by two button lifts. The late opening hours are perfect.

The Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead is a great place for the whole family to learn how to ski or sharpen your skills before your next ski holiday. You can bring your own equipment or hire everthing you need. The indoor facility features real snow on two slopes. The smaller slope is designed for lessons, while the bigger slope is designed for independent skiing. The larger slope is serviced by button lifts. For non-skiers, there is an alpine themed cafe and viewing area on the top floor and ski and bike retail on the ground floor. This is an excellent facility and fun for all ages.
