Bike service is horrible. I paid $45 for the Tune Up service, they supposed to clean my chain and drive train, adjust my shifts and break. After 1 week, they called me saying that I had to pay $300 to replace some parts of my bike and my shifts were damaged. For that price I could get a new bike, so I told them to replace all the cables (shift and break). When I went to get my bike, the chain and drive train still really dirty, and they haven't adjust properly my shifts, they still saying that it was damaged. I asked them to clean and they didn't know about that service, after I showed the website they just used a napkin to "clean", as a result my bike was dirty and my shifts wasn't working, the staff was trying to sell me everything, I'm pretty sure they were lazy to clean and adjust. I got my bike, went home and did a simple research on YouTube about how to adjust the shifts, and in 20 mins everything was working perfect, nothing was damaged, now I'm buying all products to clean my chain and drive train. I just waste time and money with that service. They want to sell their products and think you're ignorant and don't know anything about bike. Maybe in other locations they don't try to lie and get money for their customers, so be aware before take your bike there. The service was $45 (tune up) + $24 (4 cables) + taxes. It's cheaper do a simple research on YouTube and do by yourself.

On June 30, 2018, my uncle purchased an Apple Watch from the Sport Chek (1800 Sheppard Ave East North York, ON M2J 5A7). This Apple Watch was intended to be given to me for my next birthday. My uncle purchased this Apple Watch believing that it was brand new. When I opened the Apple Watch on my birthday in April 2019 and tried to pair it with my iPhone, I discovered that there was another Apple ID synced to the Apple Watch, which indicated that the watch had a previous owner and thus was not brand new. I took the receipt back to the same Sport Chek and told them that the watch had a previous owner, but they were unable to help because the warranty had expired. At this point, I was left with a watch that cost over $500 that was completely useless. It took me a week to verify to Apple that I was the owner of the Apple Watch. Once the long process of verifying my identity was complete, I had to go into the Apple Store to get them to unpair the Apple Watch with the Apple ID of the previous owner, which took an additional 2 hours. Finally, I was able to unpair the Apple Watch with the Apple ID of the previous owner and thus be able to use the watch. I am completely outraged that Sport Chek would sell my uncle a device that costs over $500 and not notify him that the device had been previously owned. I talked to one of the managers at the Sport Chek store from which the Apple Watch had been purchased, and he said that it was protocol to write on the receipt that the watch was previously owned before selling it. I have the receipt and clearly this protocol was not followed. It was incredibly embarrassing to ask my uncle if he purchased an Apple Watch that was previously owned. The Apple Watch was meant to be a birthday gift, but really it has caused me so much mental anguish. I have been a long-time customer of Sport Chek, and I am truly disgusted by what has happened.

The shop itself is great. Good selections and friendly helpful staff. Only one thing I would like to mention. Two weeks ago I went to the store buying some stuff. A guy came to me and asked me to apply for a Canadian Tire credit card so I could get 15% off. I checked in the store with cashier on that day. They told me that the guy was in deed from their store. Since I bought quite a bit of stuff, I applied. But since then, this recent two weeks, all of a sudden, my phone starts getting a lot of unknown phone calls. Even though I blocked those numbers, they still came through. Very strange! It is of my huge concern that my personal info might be leaked out..

Good collection of jackets - which is what I went to check. They have most of the major brands and you can easily search through them as they are segmented (men's/ladies as well as outdoor/lifestyle). Great staff who are very knowledgeable, especially of you are looking to buy your first winter jacket. I was helped by Glen - try to find him to get good advice on what to buy and brand recommendations.

Took 30 minutes to process a size exchange... only one cashier at the check out...held up the line while waiting for the cashier to call for the product. I suggested taking the next customer first. She agreed to do so...when the product arrived. She was not sure how to proceed with the process. Called for support for the process. No response after 5-7 minutes...line up starting to form a snake. I suggested again she can take the next customer. This time she said she does not wish to suspend the current transaction because she will have to start all over...it's just one item... people in line had no idea what's going on and it is embarrassing for me to make all these people wait because of me. She did not call for back up to cash and two staff looked at the line as if that's normal and just chit chat with the cashier and then went back to their business... just don't quite understand how hard it is to call for back up???
