I purchased new skis, boots, bindings and poles from Jake at the Red Door Ski Shop sometime before Christmas 2017. I was extremely pleased with my past experiences in purchasing there, and thought of nowhere else to give my business. Skis are expensive and it is nice dealing with people who understand the product they are selling and can set you up with what you are looking for. After a few times on the slopes, I began to experience issues with fit of the new boot. I called Red Door and was asked to bring in my equipment for inspection and to evaluate fit once again. Jake welcomed me at the door, and took a true interest in my concerns. He evaluated the boots, looked at my feet, and after talking for a few minutes about my concerns, made a determination that another boot size would be best for me. Jake said there is a difference between how a boot is supposed to fit and how it actually does fit. I did not expect to walk out with new boots, but was so grateful to do so at no cost to me. Jake resized the bindings and tuned up my skis as well. This is great customer service! I enjoyed a great day of skiing yesterday, in a comfortable boot that worked well for my feet. I would highly recommend Jake at the Red Door Ski Shop for all of your skiing needs. I have used them in the past and will continue to do so into the future.

I went in to try to get myself back into skiing and admitted to being a bit green to the whole thing. After the salesperson demeaned my girlfriend about a cross country setup, he asked me if I even knew what I was doing and if I had ever even been skiing. I'd consider myself a pretty laidback person, who went in sharing that I had limited experience, but this salesperson really went to town on me. I went across the street to another shop where they were fantastic and got me back on the hill for under $100.

Living out west..customer service needs to be improved. Very condescending ..they have a real attitude..Go online and buy..and you will get a better deal. Everytime I come home I go into the store, still arrogant as ever. Pushing expensive equipment..so obvious ..and then try to return..you are treated terrible.my suggestion to the owner is time to sell something else.

I never write reviews but felt compelled to as I planned on not visiting this store based on the negative rating. I decided to stop in out of pure convenience and the fact it was on the same side of the street I was on. Given the comments i was taken back on how good the customer service was compared to most establishments. There store was very well staffed and each of the half dozen employees made a point of saying a genuine hello. I was also given prompt, professional service from a very competent salesperson and also told my son's helmet would be fine for another season (when the could have easily upsold me). For anyone thinking of not going I would certainly recommend giving them a chance as I had a much better experience than expected (and definitely better than the shop from last year i chose not to return to based on a completely opposite outcome).

I have been dealing with Steve at Red Door for years. Always gives great advice. From ski, board selection, rentals for my kids, very helpful! I have purchased jackets, gloves, helmets; making good recommendations on my growing kids. I purchased a Thule roof rack system for my ski trips from Red Door. They were the only local company that could find and pinpoint a roof rack that was an exact fit for my car; they fitted it on my car and showed me how to remove and reinstall as needed. I would recommend Red Door for all your ski and accessory needs!
