Spent a lovely overnight here for a special event June 24 2018. Everything was perfect. I give 4 stars because I would have rather used cash that day for both the event and the room. I asked if they had an ATM and the answer I got was we do but I'm not sure if there's any money in it. Well then at checkout I was told that $50 that was held for authorization on my credit card won't be returned until 5 days. Had I done everything with cash besides reserve the room a month and a half prior to the event I wouldn't have run into that situation. So I wait and see if the return of the $50 comes in a timely manner. Don't get me wrong the place is beautiful and it is Vermont the people are lovely I only wish I had known that prior to checking in I would have had plenty of cash on me. Please go there - the beds are awesome & the room so spectacularly clean. enjoy!

Great place to ski! I wish we had gone when the weather was better, but the staff did everything they could to ensure we enjoyed our experience. You can't beat their night skiing prices. Food in the lodge is decent, comparable to other mountain lodges in the region for prices. I wouldn't recommend going off-season, unless there's a ton of snow. Most of the trails get closed off by the first week of April.

Bolton Valley is a wonderful mountain resort! I enjoy going there on weekends to snowboard. There are three peaks, Vista, Wilderness, and Timberline. Personally, Wilderness is my favorite. There is something fulfill ing about sliding down the mountain with thick pine trees on either side of you. The food is pretty good, but rather expensive. They do have a delicious Waffle Cabin though.

Bolton Valley is unique place in USA. The Valley located high up in Green Mountains and surrounded by ridges almost by 360 degrees. It is secluded yet people live there year around and have ability to work in near by companies, including high tech startups, manufactures and businesses. It is just 30 minutes of always relaxed drive to Burlington, VT and same to Montpelier. I use to work in a company in Burlington and each time coming up to my condo, I was delighted to inhale ever fresh air of the mountains and to hear meditative music of nearby streams and waterfalls. In winter after work and quick change to ski gear, I was able to catch 2 hours of skiing. In weekends, the famous "Trap family lodge" trail (a part of Catamount trail) attracts a lot of back-country skiers for 9 miles ups and downs in the complete wilderness of green mountain ridges. In summer and fall it is rich playground for hiking and dipping in the swimming holes of Joiner brook, discovering hidden lookouts and secluded values.

This resort is amazing, and the slopes are challenging in its own right. Not crowded, mostly people from the area, so a great option for open field! The quality of the gear is exceptional, they just hot new gear from Bruton on the snowboarding side. Staff and people were friendly, and attentive! There is night skiing & snowboarding until 10pm! You can get lift & gear tickets valid from 9:30am till closing.
