David Cohn is in my opinion the best criminal defense lawyer in Toronto or the gta for that matter. I was charged in with very serious offenses years ago , while I was in jail I fired my previous lawyer and after many interviews in jail with criminal defense lawyers I ended up hiring Mr. Cohn , and I am so thankful I did . He got me bail , which wasn't easy . after my bail and over a year later to get a trail date Mr. Cohn stood by my side . my case was very serious and if found guilty of the allegations there was a chance of serving over 10 years in prison. my case was very complicated and he endured many challenges, he used every resource he had, to have an upper hand on the crown attorney such as hiring scientist , he had a law researcher work with him as there was boxes of paper work . but still after using all these resources and having more people on deck I ONLY dealt with Mr. Cohn . he showed up to all my court dates personally and answered all my phone calls and email personally , he didn't send a partner or rookie . He is a lawyer that actually cares about you and your case he is not a money hungy plea lawyer he is a lawyer that will literally be a pitbull in the court room and fight for you. In my opinion he is more of a trial lawyer. In my situation I was innocent and no body believed me or stood by my side 100% EXCEPT for my lawyer Mr. Cohn . he always came prepared and had an amazing memory of the case considering the boxes of paperwork and that really told me he took my case seriously and he personally was working on it, and keep in mind he does have other clients so to be able to focus on everyone says a lot . weeks before my trial date Mr. Cohn attended a court date as agent without me present as a briefing before the trail and to set another date . He was just to attend court and talk with the crown and remand the date but instead he got all the charges dropped . when I received the news from him I was completely floored I was literally in disbelief. its been over 4 years and I am so grateful I hired David Cohn, I cant even imagine how my life would have turned out if I hired another lawyer. David Cohn , where do I start. A couple years ago I was charged with a serious criminal offence facing numerous years in prison. At the time I had no lawyer so I called and asked everyone who was a good lawyer and of course everyone referred their lawyer and said they were the best blah blah blah. Because I was in jail and couldn't research or review lawyers I was very sceptic of who I should hire. A friend of mine also a client of Mr.Cohns, came to the jail to visit me and talk me into hiring David, and god am I thankful I did. I cant begin to describe how sharp this guy is, you can tell when he coming to a dead end or not getting anywhere in court or with the crown that he is already thinking of new plan of attack or simply bringing out his next move, and he does it with such ease and finesse that you never see him sweet or be intinamted or feel like he is inconfindent in your defence. He really knows how to approach every situation as if he's done it a million times. He is the Michael Jordan of criminal defence. Ultimately David Cohn had all my charged acquitted and withdrawn. I have used David a few more times after that and referred at least 3 people to him and everyone has had the same results. He's never lost for me or anyone I have sent him to, and that really show he does care about EVERY client no matter how big or small the case is. He takes every case serious that why his reputation follows him. David Cohn is at the top of his game and I would refer him again and again to anyone in trouble with the law.
