It seems like there aren't many reviews about the law firm and the testimonials on the site are VERY biased. I thought I'd write a review on my experience. Raphael Barristers is an average law firm based out of Thornhill. The firm seems to list four lawyers on their site and other than Jeffrey Raphael and Stan Raphael the other barristers don't seem to have any reviews. They are qualified on paper but very unprofessional, all positive reviews are on Jeffrey Raphael and no other lawyer in this firm. In my experience I retained Bert Raphael, and I assumed he would be the one working on my case but passed it down to a junior associate - This was extremely poor on their part - A lot of lawyers thrive on stating when retaining them they will not pass the case down to a junior, they will work on the case themselves. In addition to the unprofessionalism, they do not keep you up to date with what is going on with your case. Getting calls back were VERY tough and the lawyers do not answer your calls. I would not recommend the firm unless you are retained by the two lawyers stated above. My experience seemed very amateur and ended up in an argument because of very poorly explained contracts at the beginning. - Although they work on a settlement no fee basis - I'm still a client, yelling at a client is extremely unprofessional. The contracts are poorly written and are not specific at all, the lawyer I worked with was very sketchy and asked me to sign authorization papers without dating them in order for him to do things quicker, meanwhile I never recieved ONE call from him in 2 years. A lawyer that will work with you in order to get you a benefit should be trusted, in this case it was very hard. It took me over two years to settle a small case and there were too many errors along the way for this to be a smooth experience. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
