Breathe in Avenida is a wonderful place to practice yoga. The staff are friendly and helpful and the instructors are really good. I thoroughly enjoy going here, not only for the people but the ambiance as well. It's a beautifully decorated studio. I love the yoga room itself lit with "candle-light". The cold, scented clothes given at the end of class is such a nice touch. I tell all my friends about this place. This and the McKenzie town location are my 2 favourite studios. I drive in from Okotoks to go here.

I love Breathe! I've been to all locations and I love them all just the same although McKenzie is my preferred one. They are all clean and beautiful and the teachers are the best. I've been to many other studios in the city and elsewhere but I keep coming back to Breathe because it really is top notch. Every time I travel I find myself comparing the yoga studios to Breathe and I have yet to find one that even comes close. I'm actually perplexed at the reviews that say there's no yogi vibe or spirit. I haven't found that at all and I've been coming for 3 years (at least 4x a week). To the contrary, I think Breathe is one of the few studios left that is truly 100% yoga. I have tried the yoga/spin and other hybrid studios and they are way too bootcamp and gym-ish for me. I want YOGA when I go to a yoga studio. I want peace and zen without the loud voices or bright lights. The teachers at Breathe are all very knowledgeable, kind and engaging but also very different which I love for the variety. You can tell they really care about their students and they provide safe adjustments and modifications. The frontline staff are cute and bubbly and super helpful and most of them know me by name. They make my day every time. If you want a real yoga studio with real yogis, you should really try Breathe. You won't be disappointed. There's a reason they've won best studio 3 years in a row.

I'm a big hot yoga fan partly because of Breathe. They have set the bar high for me... I tried another hot yoga place in southern Calgary and I walked out and never went back. I won't use names but they have carpet and their instructors yell at you if you stop for a drink during the class. Breathe - ALL the instructors make it very clear that it's your class and if you need a break or a drink to just do it. It's hot yoga that's how it should be because everyone handles the heat differently and for some people it takes some time to get used to it. I recommend Breathe to all my friends. It's just a great atmosphere and the instructors are fantastic. If you are a beginner the Foundations class or Restorative are great starter classes.

I've tried hot yoga at various studios. Breathe Hot Yoga is exceptional. The aesthetics of the studio are beautiful, warm, inviting and relaxing. The instructors are the best you'll find - loved the yoga and appreciated their genuine warmth and care.

I have been to multiple hot yoga studios and breathe is by far the best! The instructors are great and the diversity in yoga classes is excellent! I found it very helpful for my shoulders and my back and I hope they expand to Edmonton in the near future!
