After being a member for three years, I decided to review the gym (Iâ€™m trying to review more, as most reviews are used as a vehicle for complaints) First and foremost, the facility has great equipment which is regularly maintained. I particularly like the hammer strength equipment. In addition, Ron himself has always been friendly and personable. After moving to Vancouver, I explored different gyms in the area. Ron invited me into his office, we talked for a bit and I quickly signed up. I never regretted it for a moment. It quickly became a community I wanted to be a part of. His hospitable nature is carried out by his staff and the members. I plan on being a member for as long as I live in Vancouver.

I have been a member of this facility since moving to Vancouver in 2015. The staff, including Ron himself, are always polite and friendly. The equipment goes above and beyond meeting my needs and the facility is always clean and well-maintained. For those to whom it applies, the gym also features a â€˜women onlyâ€™ section, which is a rare find in most commercial gyms. Exceptional value, especially in Vancouver! Would definitely recommend to those seeking a great gym with great community among its members.

Ron Zalko Fitness & Yoga is the best fitness club in the whole of Vancouver!!! First of all, the owner Ron Zalko is an icon, a legend in fitness. He is such a hands on owner -- he cares about his members! He cares about our wellness. The classes are fantastic and enjoyable especially the Zumba classes. I also love the equipment in the gym, state of the art. The whole fitness club is clean and very organized. The ladies bathroom is clean all the time. The staff are all well-trained and knowledgeable in fitness. Ron trained them well. I'm very happy to be a member and it's worth my money -- very affordable.

Here's the problem with this gym. It's the owner. It shouldn't be however it is. You never know what mood he's going to be in. In his mind he's stuck in the 1990's when he was significant. Now he walks around interrupting people. We all say hello and talk because we have too. It's also creepy sometimes. The first time I noticed this was when I saw the camera's in the gym. That shouldn't be a problem but he watches the gym from home. As a female that's just creepy. I have been a member for over 5 years. He's yells at staff. I lost my Yoga teacher to him yelling at her. I saw a video of myself on his instagram account. Don't you need permission to do that? It seems that this gym runs at 40% potential. It's like we are all waiting for him to move on / get it sold to someone who understands human interaction. Join this gym with caution. You will have to talk to him however the gym it's self is great. It's a little sacrifice for a great gym. RE: Your Reply. Thank you for your reply. Yes I am a female that has used a different name for very good reason. If you knew who I was I can only imagine what would happen. Workout interruptions and possibly having my membership revoked. So please remove my video from your instagram as I have given no permission to film me. The fact that a video of women working out was posted without our permission speaks volumes of the respect level you have. And yes a member I have been witness to your yelling matches with staff and members.
