Extremely friendly and welcoming studio. For anyone thinking of taking up Bikram, I can not rate this place highly enough. Very rewarding classes and well explained throughout.

Bought a groupon for here and couldn't even make through the class it stunk so badly in there!! The green fabric above what I guess is a humidifier at the front of the class is caked in dust, I bent over looked behind me and there was dirt and hair along the bottom of where the floor meets the wall. And that "antimicrobial flooring" is soooooo gross I work in a hospital and if they ever got flooring like that I would quit. The main areas and the change rooms were clean and the staff were very nice. Just could not handle that stench almost puked on the guy in front of me during the deep breathing. And I love hot yoga, but when you can taste other peoples sweat and smell dirt HECK NO. Very disappointed.

I'm encouraged to provide a review because there are people who try yoga once and rule it out without trying all the styles of it. There were a lot of things I did like about Bikram but found personally that Moksha Yoga was a better fit. I found the studio to be a bit bootcampish but also know people that really like Bikram and are looking for this specifically. My point is if one is not a fit for you, don't rule out Yoga until you try them all. Even within each yoga studio there are different types of Yoga practices. All studios have a trial period discount, so give them all a try and see what works for you.

Started going to Bikram about two months ago. You know how you get that rush and fantastic feeling after a great work-out? well that happens after EVERY class without fail. The staff are excellent; firm and yet encouraging. The facilities are clean, very nice and I love the filtered water. This is something everyone can do and benefit from regardless of the fitness level. They also have an excellent selection of clothing that works both in and out of the studio.

I started my yoga journey at BYRD, after traveling around the world to different studios I have realized that this studio cannot be beat. Not only is the facility beautiful, clean and efficient there is also the most incredible sense of community and support. No matter who you are, what your condition is or where you come from this studio will take you on and help in whatever way they can to get you to where you want to be. The staff go above and beyond being Bikram Yoga teachers and studio assistants. They genuinely care about your well being in and out of the hot room. This yoga has completely changed my life in the most positive ways. Not only has it provided me with the happiest and most vibrant moments in my life but has helped me tremendously with some of the most difficult decisions I have ever made. I cannot thank the yoga, BYRD and Josh and Jenna enough for everything they have done for me. Because of this yoga my life is full of love and light and it all started here, at Bikram Yoga Red Deer.
