My wife and I did freestyle flow on Fridays, with Jessica, the experience was awesome. She moved the class through a great session. Her encouragement to live in the moment and be happy with yourself in the moment was inspiring and we left the class ready for the weekend!

I found myself looking for a reason why I wouldn’t give Hotshop 5 stars, as I generally reserve 5 stars for truly exceptional experiences, but I came up empty. The staff here are wonderful. Even when I arrived for my first class

I have been going to this location for a few months now, on and off. First and foremost, the owner, Jess is amazingly accommodations. I travel for work and have a fairly inconsistent schedule which therefore makes it difficult to sign up for any sort of membership. Jess worked with me on that and I appreciate her so much for doing so. I attend the 6 am classes with Sheila. She is fantastic. She is knowledgeable, leads a great class and super friendly. I also attend Marias class every Saturday which I absolutely love. She too leads a great class. The room is quite hot but that is what you can expect with hot yoga. I personally do prefer hatha/more spiritually connected yoga over fitness/power yoga, but you get what you sign up for. These classes are power flows, designed to make you work. With exception to the hot hips class and Maria's Saturday flow which both have a bit more zen to the class. Overall my experience with this studio has been great and I would certainly recommend this studio to people looking for hot power yoga in downtown Calgary. Oh, and if you can make the commute you can also attend the spin yoga classes at the other studios, which is a great mix to your routine!

Studio is beautiful, temperature is great. Teachers were knowledgable, qualified and safe with their instruction. Admittedly, I have high standards when it comes to Yoga teaching - but I think that is a good thing. I only attended two classes but I felt there was too much focus on vigour and 'working out' and not enough on the development of awareness within the practice. For me the best teachers are able to do both. I wasn't impressed enough with the teaching to become a regular member here, that said it was still an overall positive and worthwhile experience.

Honestly I don't love it and I went last night and remembered why I don't go anymore. I've been to five different hot yoga studios in Calgary and this is by the far the HOTTEST one, i'm not sure why they turn up the heat SO high but if you're head is throbbing halfway through then that's not OK. I don't feel relaxed at the end even though it's yoga...I just feel anxious and stressed because they pack us in there like we're tuna in a can. I know you're trying to make money but I don't appreciate not having any space to move my arms. Not only that bu the quality of the instruction varies, while the classes do not. That is to say, you can attend yoga sculpt with weights, hot hips and power flow....and they'll all pretty much be on the same level of difficulty. Unless you go to yin at 9pm then you're pretty much having a negative effect on your body since you're not doing anything. There's no in between here. TLDR? Go to another studio. This one is too hot and it's really not yoga.
