I was a member here for several months, enjoyed the facility but had an extremely unpleasant experience. I often used the women’s only section to feel more comfortable, and the male employee would come in consistently to check machines, tell me the treadmill I was running on was squeaking or look around (I feel this could be done when the gym is vacant — which it usually is). I checked the website before sending my email, to ensure I was in-line with expressing my concerns and found this: "We maintain a "women's only" area for our member convenience and comfort levels. Momentum Fitness offers everything you need to get a great workout in a separate area for those ladies who may feel uncomfortable around men." Sent a very kind-worded email to the owner expressing my concerns and gave some examples of what instances it’s happened, I was not attacking the employee's character by any means as I have no issues with him as a human being or her as a business owner. I received a phone call from the owner within half an hour. I was screamed at and told I should work out in my basement and how dare I tell her how to run her business (I certainly did not do this). I have never been spoken to like this in my life, and definitely not by someone who I’m paying for services. Will never return, as she “Will gladly be cancelling my membership”, worse form of customer service I’ve ever been through. I ended up in tears and apologized to her. My intent of the email was to state that I thought it was meant to be clear of men while women are working out (as this is what I have experienced before -- male employees ask permission if they need to enter that section to either assist or clean something and I have greatly appreciated that). The intent was not for her to fire her employee, it was just my understanding based on what I was told when signing up that it would be clear of men while I'm working out. If I had received a kind call back saying "Hey, let's chat about this in person or let me hear your concerns", or "This is how we have to run it..." I would have been happy to discuss it. Instead, I was verbally attacked and left in tears by someone who I am paying my earned money for. The situation has not been rectified after attempts on our end and I will not be able to recommend this gym because of this situation.

The Facilities are old, out of date. The personal training will be shut down in two day and I have two sessions left, they will not give me a refund, for the remainder. the manager said I could not have my money back because my member ship has expired, except the personal training contract said nothing about the personal training sessions expiring in I could see on the paper that the dates for faked after a asked for my money back, the people who run this gym are thiefs, and should not be allow to run a business. if you are thinking of getting a membership to this gym don't, it will be with out question a terrible mistake.

My experiences with the owner have been poor. Although I had considered signing up in the past, I will not. My wife said there’s a creepy guy that works there too, and she has discontinued her membership a while ago. The College Gym is less expensive and the staff are kind and helpful, big contrast from Momentum.
