Terrible customer service and felt like I was being lied to. I’m on the trial and have been to one Hatha class at this location before. In that class, someone arrived to the class five minutes late and was allowed to set up. So the next time I arrived at 5:30 ON.THE.DOT. already changed and ready to go. Wasn’t allowed into the class for being “late”???!! To make matters worse when I told the silly receptionist what happened last time she made up something about “extreme circumstances or unusual cases”. You can’t allow one person to get better treatment than the other. Just be honest and say you messed up. I will try their burrard location but probably won’t sign up once the trial is over. Shame because the classes are actually nice. But the attitude and guidelines make no sense.

Special variety of options for yoga practice. They keep it light and healthy.

I bought a pass that has five classes in it. I had to go through an emergency surgery suddenly and for post op , I needed to rest for 2 months. I asked yyoga to extend my expiry date for another month due to this unforeseen medical condition. The answer was " No"fight away. It is very sad to see such a reaction from a yoga company. You expect compassion and understanding of these people specially if it is regarding your health . people do yoga to become healthier , happier and to reduce stress. I lost $100 dollars worth of my pass. Even flight companies accept medical notes from doctors and surgeons . I would never ever go to yyoga again. Join equinox as they have several free yoga classes and a lot more .

Surprised with the negative reviews here, I've only had great experiences with YYoga, this is a very convenient spot, small clean and polished studio/facilities.

I've been practicing at YYoga Yaletown for a few years and wouldn't choose a different location. Don't get me wrong, all YYoga studios are gorgeous, but Yaletown has that sweet send of community that I just adore. Rooms are not too large and sometimes classes get pretty cozy and sweaty, but it's totally worth it. Staff and volunteers are friendly and always keen to help. Teachers are WONDERFUL! Decided to write this review because I read all the bad reviews about this place and I felt that they were so unfair. Yes, you have to bring your ID to attend your first class as any other gym or studio in Canada. Yes, they have a policy for latecomers which is totally understandable, you really don't want a random person stepping on your mat or putting their keys, water bottle or mats down when you are doing your breathing exercise or meditation. Anyway, that is a great studio and I highly recommend!
