Love the people here. Varied classes each have their unique benefits. The visuals alternate between different beaches: from beautiful palm trees on white sand seashores with warm waters, tranquil & turquoise, tipping at toes; to the red cliffs merging into maritime summer where the almost surf-able waves & the deep blue horizon beckons. Infrared kisses skin like the sun, leaving the air fresh & gentle. No sunglasses or messy sunscreen required! It’s like being outside in nature, wearing shorts.

My top 10 for Beach Yoga in Coquitlam: 10. Parking. Lots and Lots of it. No last min pre yoga stress finding a spot. 9. Mat parking. Yes the mat spots are marked on the floor so you don't have to fight for a spot. If you are booked (use the app) you have a spot saved. 8. Tea and water ...free. But it's not just the tea..its the feeling of tea. Like when they invite you to take your time after class (as long as there is no next class scheduled) 7. Flexible membership. Lots of different packages to choose from. Classes during the daytime for those of us with flex work or kids. 6. Large foyer. Would you believe a competitor I tried made us line up on the sidewalk in Jan?? Not here. Have a cup of tea while you wait for class. 5. Community. Smile at someone and say hello. Instructors are always avail for a chat even (if it's about your vacation.) Yoga retreat anyone? Check out the blog. 4. Accepting. No lulu's no problem. Fall asleep in relaxation class? Been done. Options are offered if you are not able to do a pose. Om is Totally optional. 3. New to yoga? I didn't know anything. That's okay they will explain it. 2. Variety. Different instructors different classes. Some with a modern soundtrack..some with chimes and chants. Some warm, some hotter. Try them all. Some you will like and some may not be your cup of tea. Did I mention tea? 1. I can breathe. My stress is reduced. I am not so stiff in the morning and my mind is clearer. I just felt I needed to let those considering Beach to feel okay to check it out. No yoga experience required.

The best Groupon I have ever experienced. Beach Yoga is an amazing studio with really caring and friendly you a instructors who really support and lead you through a great yoga experience. The variety of classes are great. Deep stretch is we're I started becuase I was new to yoga and within 2 weeks I was able to start venturing into the other classes and I am so happy to have been introduced to this wonderful studio. I have more flexibility and energy since starting 2 months ago. They offer children's yoga and Brittney is so amazing and patient with the children and my son really trusts her and her guidance in these sessions. My mind body and soul is truly being transformed with Beach Yoga.

I have learned so much over the time I have been practicing here. The instructors are patient and will chat with you before or after to answer questions. It's truly a community :)

I signed in on line for a class, I went to the class and they said okay someone didn't sign up for a class today, and has to get out of this class, she then said okay you didn't sign up for a class online and kicked me out of that class, which wasn't true, I showed her proof later, and then she recanted her accusation. Meanwhile I was denied that class. No real apologies, no compensation, nothing , stay away from this outfit, it is catering to really youngish types that think yoga is the new fad, and they have no clue that it has a 5,000 year tradition. A Very modern and co opted version of yoga having little to do with the rich yogic tradition.
