I had the pleasure of experiencing Brahmanda School of Yoga's teachings when it first began years ago, and am so happy to hear about how many people have been positively impacted by this school. The teachers are warm, knowledgeable and create a safe space for you to begin your own journey with yoga... while still providing guidance along the way. I highly recommend this yoga school to anyone who is searching in the Victoria area. Simply put, it's loving, cozy, and there is no ego :)

My 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training (Summer Intensive 2013) was a superlative experience. The various teachers were knowledgeable, capable and thorough in their presentations. Topics covered, but not not limited to, included: yoga philosophy, Ayurveda, asanas, anatomy, overviews of various types of yoga. The teacher training provided me with teaching skills grounded in a solid knowledge base and hands on practice. I highly recommend the Brahmanda School of Yoga for anyone who is considering yoga teacher training.

I have thought about what I would say in this review many times and each time I think my words cannot do the experience justice, but I will try anyway. I completed my 200hr yoga teacher training with Brahmana School of Yoga at The Fernwood Yoga Den in 2015 and it has been one of the best things I have ever done. I started the teacher training at an uncertain time in my life and the guidance, teachings and support I received at Brahmana School of Yoga truly held me up and allowed me to see my real potential. This support, guidance and learning does not end when the 200hr teacher training ends - Rachel and Katyanna are there for you far beyond the graduation from the training. They will support and encourage your development as a practitioner, teacher and person throughout the training and for as long as you seek it after. They have supported me in starting a community LGBTQ+ yoga class from scratch and they deeply believe in making yoga accessible to everyone. Brahmana School of Yoga offers philosophy and history far beyond most Yoga schools and way beyond what the yoga alliance asks for, and this gives each student a deeper understanding and foundation to their practice and teaching. I cannot encourage you enough to take your yoga teacher training with Brahmanda School of Yoga and join with incredible yoga family.

I didn't think I ever wanted to become a yoga teacher until I came across this program. The trauma-sensitive aspect really drew me in, and the depth and breadth of the content we covered over the course was incredible. Having the different energies of Katyanna and Rachel combined was invaluable in teaching the limitless ways in which yoga can be delivered. The studio is such a warm, welcoming and I am so proud of it!

I took the YTT 200 hr training in Fall 2016 and it was such a game changer for me. Katyanna's knowledge is extensive, and her practice and guidance is simple, compassionate and encouraging. Rachel (the owner) taught the Yin part of the training and she presented the topic in an interesting and accessible way, with so much warmth and guidance. I would not hesitate to recommend Brahmanda School of Yoga for anyone who wants to go deeper into their practice, be supported and accepted just as they are, and are looking for on-going support above and beyond the limits of the training. Thanks so much!
