Tandava Yoga

Love Tandava! Thank you Aysia for the amazing Yin Restorative classes. My posture has improved significantly! ☺️

I feel Tandava is a second home for me (except I don't have to cook), one where I always feel welcome. After class I feel more grounded with a stronger sense of peace and contentment. This studio has transformed my experience! Being welcomed to show up exactly as I am feeling that day is such a liberating feeling. I feel safe going to any class and honouring any feeling that is showing up in my body. Unlike other studios that demand conformity to the instructor's directions, I am encouraged to modify postures so they feel right in my own body. I have found the teachers to be most generous with their time outside of class, always willing to listen to my thoughts and answer any questions I have.

This is a beautiful yoga studio, with great teachers. A very pleasant place to do yoga and relax. I suggest the gentle or restorative classes.

For a long time I stopped practicing yoga. I had an uninspiring experience a few years back that I let get to me. Then about a year ago a friend of mine sent me a message with an opportunity to do some energy exchange at Tandava, and I had one of those moments where I knew that this was an opportunity that I had to take. I have to say that the past year has been a magical transformation for me. At first I was resistant to practice again because I felt unsure of the instructors (I injured myself at the last studio due to practicing too fast and too advanced without proper alignment and correction, to this day I still have pain), but I knew I needed to keep coming back every week for my energy exchange shift. It wasn't until Naresh offered me one of his workshops that my eyes were opened again. After the workshop I thought wow, this guy has a gift. Every Monday I began to take his class, and he helped me obtain a body awareness that I thought I already had. I learned the power of a slow practice and full breath, and the attentiveness to feel and flow with it using every cell in my body. This lesson has overflowed into an all-powerful love for my own yoga practice. I even have a home practice now! If I skip a day at Tandava you can bet I’ll be practicing in my living room. I now have a sense of community in which it is difficult to find the right words to describe… The owner, Dawn, has a humongous heart and you can certainly see and feel it just by stepping in the door. I have yet to be anything less then amazed by the authenticity, skills, and care given by every instructor, and the space is absolutely breathtaking. If you are thinking about checking this studio out, the hot tea will be on, the view will be impressive, and the people will be your friends. Thank you Tandava, I wouldn’t be on this marvelous journey without you. Namaste
