After my year obligation was satisfied, I attempted to cancel my membership and was told I had to go in personally. I am not in the service area anymore and this is not convenient. I put a stop payment on the auto debit. I was then called by head office and informed that Shapes would post to my credit bureau an unpaid collection...THIS IS RANSOM! SHAPES IS NOT A BLOODY FINANCIAL INSTITUTION, JUST CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP! They cited the membership agreement, however refuse to cancel unless I personally come in. Do not sign up for this, it is entrapment!

Yo it’s really awesome coming to the gym and being welcomed by postive energy, good laughter and a joys person, it puts you in a really good mindset for the gym, and ready for the lift. And this lovely person named Britney is always the one providing need this mood, with a inviting and encouraging smile looks at you, and you feel the present of a friend. She keeps things professional and does it in a way that you feel understood and respected.

This is definitely one of the best gyms I’ve been to. The machines are good, the facility is really fun and I love the classes. The people who go there are awesome and the staff are great too, including Britney.

***ATTENTION NEW MEMBERS*** I am completely disgusted with the shapes organization. They will say anything to get your business. They couldn't care less about you.. I was told before signing that you could cancel anytime, as long as you give a 30 day notice. WRONG!! That is only after you've had the contract for a year. They offer towel service, they tell you you can cancel at any time. LIES!! What they don't tell you is if you sign up for that. you required to pay for it for 6 months before you can cancel. Also, Pay attention to your statements, after being a member for 3 months, I was over charged TWICE!! You try to talk to the front desk about the issues, they tell you to call head office. Then when you call head office. Their response is, and I quote "THERE'S NOTHIN I CAN DO FOR YOU, YOULL HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT." Make sure you read the fine print, they won't care after you sign. All you will get is a fake "sorry“
