As with any other corporate gym, they are predatory in getting you to sign hastily. I had to move away, where there are no locations. I called two times. Each time I spoke with an employee, they said that I could only cancel in-person, not over the phone. I explained that the closest Goodlife location was in Ottawa, 4 hours away from me. She didn't care and ended the call saying that that was my only option. Then the pandemic happens, and I call again and again. Buy the 5th time, the representative from Ottawa cancelled it over the phone with me and was floored that Fredericton's staff were that dumb. If you can't be, you teach, if you can't teach you teach gym. If you cannot teach gym, you work at a corporate fitness location. I hope they catch a plantar's wart.

Bins are always overflowing with paper towel. 1 singular urinal for the entire gym, and it spits pee back at you when it flushes (it always flushes when you walk up to it).

The gym is a typical commercial gym. Not bad, but nothing special either. The staff are generally indifferent and bitter, most likely due to low pay and pressures from management.

Best way to lose clients or future ones in this case is to make them feel like they don’t belong there. My grade 12 son who has great grades, hardworking and loves to hit the weights because that’s what I have taught him since he was 4. He showed up with his GoodLife bag he got from the North side Brookside Mall location when he had a full pass and could go anytime because I got his and mine together and they allowed him to go. You even offer grade 9 students the opportunity at GoodLife to workout during the school day. But grade 12 students can’t after 4pm ? That’s ridiculous and crazy if you’re trying promote healthiness. But that’s your call, he doesn’t want to go back and asked me to write this for him because he is so annoyed by this entire interaction and he didn’t want to be rude. Also let me point this out! you turned his 2 friends away as well, didn’t know business is so good you can just pass on 3 paying clients ? Must be nice ! Either way as a long time customer going back to late 90’s-00’ to now in Ontario, I won’t be back because at his age I was in the gym and not doing drugs or partying like so many others my age were. And him rather wanting to go to the gym than out partying like so many others his age do , acting responsible and to be told by NO! By your staff who aren’t even in shape on average and/or don’t know how to workout properly tell him he can’t when he’s probably got more time working out than the staff does ! And without any kind of incident at all. My count that’s my son, his 2 friends, my girlfriend and myself who can go find another place that likes money to workout
