This business is the saddest and most disgusting company I have dealt with in a long time. From the way they treat their employees to the way they treat their customers. It is unbelievable to me that they can continue to stay in business. If you are considering a place to work out I suggest you find a mom an pop place where there is actual accountability. These people want to burn through employees for the common goal of the bottom line. It is a practice that is dying far too slowly but none the less it is dying. Hopefully you will read this and help stop the gross misconduct that goes on here on a daily basis. I’ve never seen a business turn over employees faster than the so calle GoodLife

This is the first review I have ever written because I always thought a single opinion wouldn’t make a difference but I really hope this one is heard by possible customers thinking about paying for a membership at GoodLife. When I first signed up for this gym everything was great. Staff was friendly and the gym had lots of great options. I was a member for abouthalf a year and in December of this year I was diagnosed with a life threatening disease that basically ate all of my connective tissues and muscles. Bottom line; I was physically unable to go to the gym any longer. Already wheeling from this news I called GoodLife thinking that they would understand my situation and allow me to cancel my remaining 2 months of my membership(because they really did seem like a company that genuinely cared about it customers) I was wrong! So so wrong! They told me that I had to pay a fee to cancel my membership even though there was no way I could physically attend the gym. I can barely walk let alone work out. The Parklane staff told me to contact a 1-800# and speak to a representative about my situation because it was out of his hands and GoodLife gym and they had a “protocol” to follow. What a joke. I called the 1-800# and they gave me the same run around about their”protocol” and my request to cancel my remaining two months was lost through their system. They told me they were unable to cancel my remaining two months even if I provided a doctors note explaining that I had a life-threatening disease that basically shut down my mobility completely. This is a huge company who only cares about the bottom line and nothing about its customers. I was completely disgusted that they would charge me even more money to cancel my membership when I could barely walk to the bathroom in the morning, let alone work out. I really hope people read this and chose another gym because this is no way to treat people. My girlfriend has recently quit the gym because she is disgusted with goodlife as well. I will continue to tell as many people as I can to stay away from GoodLife. This experience still makes me nauseous thinking about it. What a pathetic company to deal with.

The space was not designed to be a gym. Layout is very strange and can get crowded. It's worth the extra 10 minute walk to go to the Barrington Goodlife.

group fitness classes are pretty decent. just a gym with okay facilities and bit strange layout.

Before you go there think about this: if you want to cancel your membership you'll have to to pay$ 99+ taxes. the Customer service is the worst , and i mean it. Trainer didn't come in the first appointment because he said he was sick and somehow he became fine the next day ! they look at you not like a customer but as walking wallet. Also make sure to read the contract before you sign anything. Take this advise if you can find another gym go ahead. This one is not as much as you're expecting.
