Citizen is right downtown and convenient for me to walk to. The instructors are great, very personable, and they help with making minor adjustments to ensure a healthy practice. I dislike the fact that they do not put a cap on their classes. I was in a class one time with 70+ people in a room that would house 30 comfortably. Mats were overlapping, I had feet in my face, and I couldn't comfortably perform some of the poses without worrying of hitting someone. For this reason there are certain instructors, days, and times that I avoid. Daytime classes and Restore & Relax are my preference.

i always felt like i was too fat to do yoga. not a single instructor has ever made me feel that way. everyone at citizen yoga is warm, welcoming and helpful, and it’s an absolute joy to go there. sometimes anxiety makes me feel like i’m a towel that has been soaked in a pool of nervousness. after a class at citizen yoga, i feel completely wrung out, happy and ready to take on the day. anyways i’m pretty glad they’re around. they’re pretty dope and i definitely recommend them.

Last March, I was a studio newbie. I had never practiced outside of my own home. I tried the new student deal and was hooked - I wound up purchasing the Founder's membership when the Bloomfield studio opened up! EVERY. SINGLE. instructor is amazing! I have never felt out of place or intimidated. They teach alignment and incorporate breath in every pose. My practice has completely changed and I look forward to every class.

This community is seriously one of a kind. From the incredible staff/teachers who truly care about each individual and make walking into the studio feel like home, to the wonderful community that not only supports and cares for each other but makes sure each person, whether it is their first class or their 100th class, feel like they are accepted and seen. Not only does this community feel like family, the classes are welcoming and supportive of any skill level. Alignment and breath are very important at this studio which has been difficult to find at many studios I have tried in the past. The classes are beautiful, challenging, fun, motivating, and inclusive! Very grateful to have found Citizen Yoga!

I switched to Citizen Yoga this February and it was the best decision. Here they focus on alignment to ensure you are safe and get the most out of class. The teachers are challenge you both mentally and physically while being understanding of where you are at. I highly recommend Citizen. There is a teacher or class for everyone.
