Yoga Source & Therapy Studio

This is the best yoga studio I have ever been at and I have been at many from here to Scottsdale Arizona. Theresa and all her teachers and staff and warm, friendly and very welcoming. I have done restorative classes, beginner classes and the more advanced as they all offer something for me depending on my needs that day.

Used to come occasionally and loved the atmosphere. Unfortunately it's turned into a real "business". I didn't realize my 6 month pass had expired as there was no follow-up, no reminder, nothing. I just lost 12 paid classes, the woman was delighted to tell me "they would be out of business if they followed up with everyone..." Really? Interesting business model. Yikes! Onward and upward, off to find a great new studio, lots of interesting choices in Newmarket and Aurora...anyone want some new business, I've got friends LOL.

Unfortunately the owners have lost site of what instructors are doing! I loved this place when it opened . Attended during March break the Monday instructor was lovely the Thursday instructor was all about herself! Despite arriving 15 min early she ignored me and my daughter in passing I tried to get her attention to let her know I had recently had a hip replaced expecting a welcom and maybe some tips on adapting. Nope she didn’t breaks stride and said ok. She continued to do her class never giving me tips or anything . I didn’t expect her to change her routine I did expect a compassionate platform which was beyond her capacity. She made little jokes with her « click » of regulars demonstrating her lack of confidence as a human being and chatted on and on about her travels of where she’s lived and was going ! It’s all about her. I did ask at the end of the class if I in error miss read the calendar as it didn’t feel like a beginner class like Monday’s and with little assistance someone could get hurt hinting to her negligence as an instructor I myself sm s certified fitness instructor and always provide alternatives to participants and warmly welcome them. She smartly replied with a textbook answer that beginner class didn’t mean beginner moves it was that they slowly eased you into pose ! Ahhh sure ! I doubt any beginner would want to do or hold a 1 leg triangle or some of the 1 arm balanced positions she attempted. I am athletic so modified but isn’t yoga to be welcoming , loving supportive . Very sad Alas we won’t go back and have been welcomed by there competion at Moksha. Owners with instructors like this there’s a risk of injury I didn’t speak to anyone after class as I didn’t want to get in a negative space instead I held my power and continued to lovingly support myself as it took courage to stay in that class and not leave .

I have been attending Yoga Source for about six years now and I must say that just when I thought that Theresa and the staff were offering consistently great service....today, I had my best class ever. Theresa continues to evolve and offer better and better service every day.

We really enjoyed coming here! Instructors were great at running classes.. We never felt uncomfortable.
