As much as I don't like doing yoga in a heated room, Moksha happens to be my favourite yoga studio! I enjoy practicing at this studio so much because the staff and instructors are amazing! Every single instructor at Moksha is well trained and does a fabulous job providing instructions. This is one of the few studios where instructors take the time to observe each client and help ensure that they are doing the postures correctly. Although I love all instructors at Moksha, I find Parya to have exceptional skills and very enjoyable classes. Also, Moksha is probably one of the few studios where you actually get to relax before and after class - there's a very good culture established amongst members to ensure they are respectful of each other's practice. The location is also very nice - it is spacious and the change room is big (with a good number of showers).

Just finished my intro month with unlimited classes at this studio. Was really excited to try this place because of the good reviews but was not impressed. As a newcomer to the studio, I didn't feel that welcomed and none of the instructors seemed approachable. I tried out many different types of classes/instructors. My biggest complaint is that the instructors do not seem to care about correcting your posture or proper alignment!! As someone who mainly practices yoga at home, I wanted to try classes under a teacher. The teachers here just guide your practice, they do not actually care if you're doing the poses right! Also, when some of the class sizes are 40-50 people, it makes it impossible to pay attention, and sometimes even hard to hear instructions! I give it 2 stars because its a nice and clean studio, with nice facilities and many classes a day. But I've been to a few yoga classes at my local gym (i.e. not a yoga studio), and the teachers there were much better and attentive! So I would only recommend this place if you're an advanced student. To me, it felt like a yoga factory and not at all worth the $$$

Some really good aspects of going to Moksha Yoga Thornhill (MYTH) for practise: - ample parking, found underground one driveway east of MYTH's above ground parking - new Shanti Shop has trendy items, like crystals, bolsters, succulents, which are really cute - Hot room is really big, with high ceilings - Very clean studio - Good variety of classes, from Moksha, to Barre, to Pilates to Ashtanga - Regular workshops for greater variety - Good community!
