I understand there has been some controversy surrounding a Facebook post made by this studio around the time of the April van attacks. I understand why this has offended some. My review is not based around that. This studio is run by wonderful people, despite what some may be posting regarding the controversial post. I worked at this studio as an Energy Exchanger for a few months and honestly I wasn't even practicing yoga at the time. I just volunteered because I was going through an emotional time in my life and wanted to be surrounded by positive people, spend time in a peaceful space and do what I could to grow during a difficult time in my life. I loved the space, the environment and the people. Don is a very wonderful man. I never had the chance to meet Meg, but everyone only had great things to say about her. They are very mindful and considerate of the fact that some people may need yoga in their lives, but cannot afford it. This is the only studio I have known to operate on a sliding scale so that everyone can feel the positive effects of yoga. To me, this is the embodiment of yoga. They keep a very clean space, have fair prices and it is a wonderful community. I would recommend this studio to anyone. I would also recommend their Energy Exchange program to anyone who would like to practice yoga regularly but cannot afford it, and anyone who would like to surround themselves with like-minded individuals.

I love this studio! Everyone is so warm and welcoming and there is no judgement. I couldn't be more happy to be a member of this studio. Every teacher is amazing and are truly gifted of the art. The studio is very clean and cozy. I have fallen asleep in the zen den on more than one occasion. As a mother of two babies wanting to get back into shape it is extremely overwhelming. Coming into the studio I feel very safe and it eases that feeling of being overwhelmed. I love this studio and I can't say that enough. Thank you Moksha Bloor West for being my safe get away.

I've practiced Yoga at many yoga studios (including a few different Moksha'). I especially love this studio. Beautiful physically (especially the practice room with its windows and the "Zen Den" with books, many live tropical plants, and musical instruments tea and fruit, people relaxing and chatting) great energy, amazing teachers/staff, many classes throughout the day for busy schedules etc. It is a very special place and i'd recommend setting up a regular practice there to get in with the community and make some friends, let alone the benefit of regular Yoga. Very positive vibes and will impact your life in POSITIVE ways.

I had previously posted a review which was answered briefly by the manager at that time. After weeks passed and things changed, (like the new filter added to the studio, more pilates added weekly) the owner edited the answer to address how wrong I was (wasn't , just they adjusted a few things now ) and answered now as if I had invented things, inviting me to go now to see if things had change "for me". If you can't practice humility and you can't digest other people's opinions, I don't really understand how you can even pretend to guide others on absolutely anything. I can see that even the manager is posting positive reviews now as they need to clean all the social media mess they provoked a few months ago. So it's easy to understand why also there are so many new "positive" reviews now. Too sad they can't just learn, improve and be real, instead of just pretending for the outside. How superficial! As the owner did, I am adjusting my review now. I wouldn't recommend this studio to learn yoga. "Live to learn" is supposed to be one of their principles, kinda failing on that one...this is not the attitude I appreciate from anybody guiding this kind of practice.

I have been a student of this studio for many years. This is truly a place where people are able to recharge, get a killer workout and become grounded/ centred again. The directors have created a safe, welcoming and sacred space, where a community truly exists. Whenever I walk into this sangha, I feel as though I am at my second home. There are many other studios in the city, but I ALWAYS practice here, and couldn't imagine practicing elsewhere. The studio is beautiful and clean. The teachers are stellar with engaging and warm personalities. There is no pomp or arrogance, allowing people to grow from where they are at and honour each stage of the process. I love practicing in this wonderful space and suggest you all do too!!!! xo
